Erie Theater Company Opens A RAISIN IN THE SUN Tonight

Erie Theater Company (ETC) is Erie, PA's newest theatrical entity. It was created this summer, to provide artists the opportunity to develop and perform in a venue that offers diverse, interesting favorites, and new works, to the wide variety of theater goers of Erie and the surrounding areas. They open tonight, November 6th.

Frank Torren Returns in 'Moment to Moment' 10/26-29

Frank Torren will take the stage in his solo show once again Oct. 26-29 at Don't Tell Mama (343 W 46 St). At last season's MAC Award show, Frank Torren was one of only three stalwarts of cabaret nominated for Best Male Vocalist. He's the real thing!

Frank Torren Returns in MOMENT TO MOMENT Encore Show, 5/4 - 5/14

Frank Torren returns to the stage in an encore presentation of Moment to Moment! Performances are scheduled for Sunday, May 4 at 4pm, Wednesday, May 7 at 7pm, and Wednesday, May 14 at 7pm at Don't Tell Mama, 343 W 46 St. $15 music charge with 2 drink minimum. Moving Image to Screen FUN CITY: NEW YORK IN THE MOVIES 1967-75, Begin. Today

Movies filmed in New York City that tapped into the turmoil, chaos, and social and cultural energies of the late 1960s and early 1970s are the subject of the screening series Fun City: New York in the Movies 1967-75, curated by film critic and historian J. Hoberman. The series, which will be accompanied by a new monograph written by Hoberman, includes nineteen films, and will be presented by Museum of the Moving Image from August 10 through September 1. The films include established classics such as Rosemary's Baby, The French Connection, Midnight Cowboy, and Dog Day Afternoon, as well as lesser known films such as The Angel Levine, Bye Bye Braverman, and Cotton Comes to Harlem.

Palm Beach Dramaworks Extends A RAISIN IN THE SUN Through 3/9

A Raisin in the Sun, Lorraine Hansberry's drama, will extend its performance schedule through March 9th at Palm Beach Dramaworks' Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). The production will play the following additional performances: Thursday 3/7 at 8pm, Friday 3/8 at 8pm and Saturday 3/9 at 2 & 8pm.

Considered by many to be one of the greatest plays of the 20th century, A Raisin in the Sun, Lorraine Hansberry's powerful drama, will open Friday, February 1 (8PM) at Palm Beach Dramaworks' Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). The production will play a strictly limited engagement through March 3, with specially priced preview performances on January 30 & 31. For twelve years, West Palm Beach's only professional, multi-award-winning resident theatre has brought to the Palm Beaches a distinguished roster of plays under the guidance of Producing Artistic Director William Hayes.
