The Dallas Opera (TDO) opens its 2025/2026 Season with the U.S. premiere of a new production celebrating the 150th anniversary of Georges Bizet’s iconic CARMEN opening on Friday, October 17, 2025. This production faithfully recreates the original Carmen from the 1875 premiere at the Opéra-Comique in Paris.

Carnegie Hall announced a performance of BERNSTEIN – SYMPHONY No. 3 'KADDISH,' featuring a powerful orchestral and choral arrangement.

Orchestra of St. Luke’s (OSL) will celebrate its 50th anniversary with an ambitious 2024-25 season featuring 13 performances at Carnegie Hall, including a series in each of Carnegie’s three halls, and innovative presentations of contemporary music and world premieres both at the orchestra’s home, The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, and with partners in all five boroughs.

“I think the story is about survival, and about people sheltering one another,” director Mary Birnbaum told me in our conversation about EMIGRÉ, the oratorio that features what she called “composer Aaron Zigman’s sweeping score” and the “complex storytelling” by librettist Mark Campbell and lyricist Brock Walsh. The work makes its US debut on February 29 at the New York Philharmonic in Geffen Hall, under conductor Long Yu.

The Dallas Opera is set to close their 65th Anniversary Season with the new-to-Dallas production of Mozart's Così fan tutte.
