Billy Crystal In '700 Sundays' Comes To Arsht Center

Billy Crystal will bring 700 SUNDAYS, his Tony® Award-winning Broadway blockbuster, to Miami as part of a six city American tour of limited engagements. 700 SUNDAYS, a play performed and written by Mr. Crystal with additional content by Alan Zweibel is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff. 700 Sundays comes to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County for 6 performances only beginning Tuesday, December 8 through Sunday, December 13, 2009 presented by the Adrienne Arsht Center and Broadway Across America - Miami. General tickets range from $45.00 - $85.00 and Premium tickets are $200.00 not including applicable service charges. Broadway Across America Season Ticket Holders and Arsht Center Members will receive the first opportunity to purchase tickets in the near future.

This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty.

JERSEY BOYS Hosts Special Actors Fund Performance 8/23

The Broadway production of JERSEY BOYS will perform an additional performance on Sunday, August 23 at 8pm to benefit The Actors Fund. All of the actors' salaries and all of ticket sales will be donated to The Actors Fund benefiting people in film, theater, television, music, opera, and dance.

The Boston engagement of JERSEY BOYS set a new box office record at the Shubert Theatre, grossing $1,313,979 for the week ending August 2, 2009. The previous record of $604,396.75 was held by Riverdance. JERSEY BOYS opened to rave reviews on Wednesday, July 29 and it will play through Saturday evening, September 26.

Wildhorn's WONDERLAND Announces New Members Of Creative Team For Tampa Premiere

The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center today announces several additions to the creative team for Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure. According to producer Judith Lisi, president and CEO of TBPAC, Marguerite Derricks will choreograph the production and Ron Melrose will serve as music supervisor and provide vocal and dance arrangements as well as incidental music. Susan Hilferty, Neil Patel and Paul Gallo will design the costumes, sets and lights respectively, while Jon Weston will design the sound and Sven Ortel will design video and projections.

Sebastian Arcelus returns to the role of Bob Gaudio in the Broadway cast of JERSEY BOYS tonight July 14th, 2009. Arcelus, who was most recently seen in the Lincoln Theater Center production of Happiness, replaces Andrew Rannells, who replaced him in the hit show at the August Wilson Theatre.
