Landmark Productions Presents THE APPROACH At The Everyman

Landmark Productions presents a new play by Mark O'Rowe - his first since the award-winning Our Few and Evil Days at the Abbey in 2014.  Following a hugely successful run at the Project Arts Centre, Dublin, The Approach comes to The Everyman, Cork, from 27 February – 3 March.

World Premiere Of Louise O'Neill's ASKING FOR IT Set For The Everyman Stage 2018

It was announced today that the world premiere production of Asking for It by Louise O'Neill will be performed on the Abbey stage next November. This much anticipated production is produced by Landmark Productions and the Everyman and co-commissioned by the Abbey Theatre. Conceived as a large-scale, technically ambitious production, it will be adapted for stage by Meadhbh McHugh in a collaboration with Annabelle Comyn, who also directs. The creative team also includes set designer Paul O'Mahony; lighting designer Sinead McKenna; sound designer Philip Stewart. Tickets for both venues are on sale now.

Audiences have under a month left to enjoy the multi award-winning Robert Icke's (Mary Stuart, The Red Barn, Uncle Vanya, Oresteia, Mr Burns and 1984) innovative production of Hamlet, starring Andrew Scott (Sherlock, Denial, Spectre, Pride and Cock) live on stage, which must end on 2 September 2017 at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Following a sold-out Almeida run, Robert Icke's thoughtfully contemporary take on Shakespeare hits the West End, with its original cast mainly intact (Derbhle Crotty succeeds Juliet Stevenson as Gertrude on 4 July). The big draw, of course, is the superb Andrew Scott in the title role, but Icke's production is just as considered in every supporting part, resulting in a wonderfully rich experience.

Having presented Angel Meadow in a disused pub, and Romeo & Juliet at Victoria Baths, HOME presents three productions at Number One First Street, a vast contemporary office space overlooking the site of the company's new £25m city centre home, which is scheduled to open in spring 2015.

The Philadelphia premiere of The Events by David Greig is a co-production between the Actors Touring Company, Brageteatret, Drammen, Schauspielhaus Vienna, and the Young Vic Theatre, London. Set in the aftermath of a mass shooting at a church choir rehearsal, The Events explores our destructive desire to fathom the unfathomable and asks how far forgiveness can stretch in the face of brutality. The Events runs at the Annenberg Center, 3680 Walnut Street, October 7-19 for 12 performances. Opening night is tonight, October 7 at 7:30 PM.
