Shea's Performing Arts Center Announces The 2020 - 21 Frey Electric Construction Co. Shea's 710 Theatre Season

Michael G. Murphy, President of Shea's Performing Arts Center (PAC), is pleased to announce the 2020 a?" 21 Frey Electric Season at Shea's 710 Theatre. The 710 Season will feature five shows including a collaborative show by All for One Theatre Productions - Shakespeare in Love. This producing partnership between Shea's 710 Theatre, MusicalFare Theatre, Theatre of Youth, Irish Classical Theatre, and Road Less Traveled Productions marks the third year the group is producing a show on the 710 stage.

People's Light Brings SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE to the Stage

People's Light presents Shakespeare in Love, a stage adaptation of the 1998 Academy Award-winning film. In 1593 London, Will Shakespeare has writer's block. Low on funds and out of ideas, the young playwright finds his muse in Viola de Lesseps, a wealthy merchant's daughter with dreams of the stage. Despite England's prohibition on female performers, Viola disguises herself as a man and wins the role of a?oeRomeoa?? in Shakespeare's upcoming comedy, Romeo and Ethel, the Pirate's Daughter. As Will discovers that his talented leading man is none other than the captivating aristocrat he admired from afar, the two begin a passionate affair that becomes inspiration for a new love story: Romeo and Juliet. McCarter Theatre Center Presents GOODNIGHT NOBODY by Rachel Bonds

The Big Chill meets This is Us in Rachel Bonds' play Goodnight Nobody. In this deeply moving and funny world premiere, a group of old friends reconnect after years apart. They reminisce with wild abandon, until the things they aren't telling each other come hurtling to the surface. The production runs January 10 through February 9 in McCarter's Berlind Theatre. Barbican Theatre and Dance Announces January To August 2020 Programme

The Barbican today announces its full January to August 2020 Theatre and Dance programme in the Barbican Theatre and The Pit. Tickets go on sale to Barbican Members Plus on Friday 25 October 2019 and to Barbican Members on Monday 28 October 2019. From only £54, Barbican Members get priority booking, discounted tickets (subject to availability) and pay no booking fees. They can also take advantage of exclusive behind-the-scenes events and the Members' Lounge. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday 1 November 2019.

In 1607 Francis Beaumont was about to premiere his new play The Knight of the Burning Pestle, the pastiche that was set to change British comedy forever. It sees a bunch of audience members taking charge and invading the stage, dissatisfied with how the show they're watching is developing. Cheek By Jowl's current touring collaboration with Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre is a revisited version of the piece.

Niamh O'Flaherty Appointed Executive Director Of Cheek By Jowl

Cheek by Jowl today announces the appointment of Niamh O'Flaherty as Executive Director. Niamh joins the company in March 2019, from her current position as Senior Producer at Hofesh Shechter Company. She will be taking over from Natalie Highwood who is Interim Executive Director.

MEASURE FOR MEASURE Comes to ArtsEmerson

ArtsEmerson, Boston's leading presenter of contemporary world theatre, proudly welcomes Cheek by Jowl (UK) and The Pushkin Theatre Moscow (Russia) with Measure for Measure.
