As rehearsals start for Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, full casting is announced.

Sunday June 12th marks the last of Interval Productions' current Made in LDN season, which launched at The Cockpit in March. The season has been designed to present new British Musical Theatre writing, curated and presented by Interval Productions' Creative Director, Tori Allen-Martin, and supported using public funding by Arts Council England. So far the Made In Ldn season has showcased work from thirteen UK based writers and/or composers and now Declan Bennett joins the line up, performing in An Innocent Evening of Drinking, an exciting piece of new theatre that he co-wrote/created with Phil Griffin. Declan has asked curator Tori Allen-Martin to join him as part of the cast, which also features Jamie Muscato and Callum Fitzgerald. This performance will premiere brand new material from the show.

Tim Prottey-Jones most notably came to people's attention when he was a finalist on ITV's Superstar whereby Andrew Lloyd Webber used his previously successful reality format to find his 'Jesus' for a UK arena tour. After being eliminated far too early from the competition, there was a conciliation when he was offered the understudy for Judas' (played by Tim Minchin) in the show.  Although this gave him a platform and the recognition he deserved, his career was blossoming before the competition even started. Prottey-Jones is now performing in Kinky Boots in London, following a run in the successful West End production of Once. He excels in all areas of performance; a multi-talented vocalist, musician, composer and producer - as showcased on this, his third studio album 'To Do. To Be'.

Stars of Evita, Urinetown, East is East, Sweeney Todd, Blockbuster, Love Story, Damn Yankees, You Should Be So Lucky, Before After, Flowers of the Forest, Into The Woods and many more join Tim McArthur and Nathan Matthews on the seventh series of The Curtain Up Show.

Rumors are rampant that Darvill will join the West End cast of the show when current star Declan Bennett departs in March.

The current cast of Once, led by Declan Bennett and Zrinka Cviteši? as Guy and Girl respectively, will continue until 8 March 2014. Bennett will then go on to join the cast of EastEnders, where he will play Charlie Cotton, Dot's grandson.

On Friday 6 December 2013 whilst visiting New York, Declan Bennett, who plays Guy in the West End production of Once, dropped in to visit Arthur Darvill and Joanna Christie who play Guy and Girl in the Broadway production. They met on the shows onstage bar at the Bernard B. Jacob's Theatre where they swapped anecdotes about performing on both sides of the Atlantic in this multi-award winning production. Voting closes on Friday for this year's BWW:UK Awards! The Book Of Mormon, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Once all look set to win for the musicals - and Hadley Fraser may pick up a special double award for his performances in a musical and a play.

The Book of Mormon is leading in many of the New Musical categories - but Once and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is running it close!

Highlights this week include the Matilda's being drawn at Sardis, A TIME TO KILL, THE LANDING, and FROM HERE TO ETERNITY opening, and a marriage proposal for Allison Case!

The eight time Tony award-winning musical Once is currently booking at the Phoenix Theatre to 31 May 2014. Big West End showstoppers Once, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Book of Mormon are leading the way, with the competition just as tight for the fringe categories - Chichester's The Pajama Game and Southwark Playhouse's Titanic are also garnering the votes at the moment.

Direct from sell-out shows at New York's prestigious 54 Below, star of Broadway and TV's Glee, Telly Leung (Godspell, Wicked, RENT) will make his UK debut with Telly Leung: Live in London at the London Hippodrome for two shows only on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July 2013.

Today, Friday 14 June 2013, the Company of the eight time Tony award-winning Once made history as the first West End musical cast to busk on the London Underground. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the licensed busking scheme on the Tube, the cast of Once spent two hours in Leicester Square Tube station performing songs from the show alongside some of the station's regular buskers.
