As the alternate Aldonza/Dulcinea, Cassidy Janson would be forgiven for feeling a little out of place amongst the otherwise established company. On the contrary, Janson brings the feisty Scottish (why is she Scottish?) waitress to life, giving the drama a much-needed burst of energy.

The London Coliseum has established a run of successes with some excellent revivals of almost-forgotten musicals in recent years. It now turns to Man of La Mancha in the hope of a new box office smash. The choice is an interesting one; few people have seen or even heard of it and it is over 50 years since it last ran in the West End. Unfortunately it is easy to see why, with a muddy, meandering and unconvincing production.

It was announced today (Friday 15 March 2019) that renowned stage, film and TV performer Peter Polycarpou will play Don Quixote's squire, Sancho Panza in Man of the Mancha at the London Coliseum; the first West End production of this multi-Tony award-winning Broadway musical for 50 years.

In a clear sign that its #StrikeBBH campaign has escalated to a new phase, SAG-AFTRA members are picketing outside a Brentwood residence this week, after learning that struck ad agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Inc. (BBH) is filming a commercial for their client Samsung at the location. The shoot continues through the weekend.

SAG-AFTRA today announced the launch of the SAG-AFTRA podcast. Hosted by President Gabrielle Carteris and National Executive Director David White, each episode features in-depth interviews, industry insights and compelling stories affecting the entertainment and media industry. The podcast soft launched in January with the introductory episode "Making a Revolution." The next two episodes are available now with subsequent releases available every other Tuesday.

Nearly 1,000 SAG-AFTRA members and allies marched and rallied today at the La Brea Tar Pits' Great Lawn. SAG-AFTRA National President Gabrielle Carteris, Secretary-Treasurer and Los Angeles Local President Jane Austin, National Executive Director David White and local union and elected officials joined members as the strike against Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Inc. (BBH) escalates. The ad agency is attempting to illegally abandon its union contract with SAG-AFTRA after almost 20 years.
