Palm Beach Opera recently announced its 2018 main stage opera season that will present three audience favorites at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach. Season subscriptions are now available for purchase.

Beginning in the 2017-18 season, the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artists Development Program welcomes five new young artists into the acclaimed program established by Met Music Director Emeritus James Levine in 1980. Along with the returning nine participants, the program will train a new generation of artists, including opera singers, coaches, and pianists.

The fourth season of the award-winning music series, AMERICAN SONGBOOK AT NJPAC, hosted for the first time by multi-platinum-selling entertainer Michael Feinstein, will make its New York Metro-area premiere on Sunday, April 9th on at 12:30 p.m. THIRTEEN

The Crested Butte Music Festival (CBMF) has announced its 2017 summer season, the first programmed under the new co-Artistic Directors, Dr. Emily Ondracek-Peterson and Dr. Erik Christian Peterson. The seven-week season will take place June 23-August 5, 2017 in the Mt. Crested Butte Mirror Palace, and includes outstanding performances in classical music, bluegrass, opera, Gypsy Jazz and more.

March madness is in full swing in Las Vegas.  This weekend, country western music and soap opera fans also have a reason to cheer.  Emmy-winning television star Jacob Young opens in concert at The Tropicana in the Laugh Factory Theatre on Sunday March 26 with a special 5:00 PM performance and Monday March 27 at 7:00 PM. 

Palm Beach Opera will present Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance for one weekend only, April 7 - 9, at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach.

Boston Lyric Opera's Stanford Calderwood General & Artistic Director Esther Nelson announced today an eclectic 2017/18 Season designed to please die-hard opera fans as well as newcomers to the art form.  Each of the Company's productions will be presented on a different area stage, starting October 13-22, 2017 with a new production of Giacomo Puccini's Tosca featuring the American debut of award-winning rising global star Elena Stikhina in the title role. The World Premiere of The Nefarious, Immoral but Highly Profitable Enterprise of Mr. Burke & Mr. Hare (a.k.a. Burke & Hare) by composer Julian Grant and librettist Mark Campbell follows November 8-12, 2017.  From March 16-25, 2018, BLO presents Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht's pivotal early-20th century work The Threepenny Opera.  BLO closes its Season in May with Leonard Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti, paired with his Arias and Barcarolles, to mark the Lawrence, Mass.-born composer's centennial.

Palm Beach Opera is thrilled to announce the 2018 mainstage opera season, which will include performances of Giacomo Puccini's Tosca January 26-28, Leonard Bernstein's Candide February 23-25, and Le nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart March 23-25. All mainstage opera performances will take place at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach.
