Austin Pendleton and Barbara Bleier Return to Pangea in June With Some Known and Unpublished Works

Austin Pendleton and Barbara Bleier are returning to PANGEA, New York's downtown supper club, with a reprise of their show, STARTING HERE- The Songs of Richard Maltby and David Shire. There are two performances scheduled: October 2nd and 9th. Pendleton has been friends with Maltby and Shire since they were all undergraduates at Yale in the 1960s, and had appeared in several of their student productions. The composers have been generous enough to offer some of their unpublished works from earlier and later dates to the duo, and Pendleton and Bleier are thrilled to be performing their work. Paul Greenwood is the Musical Director, and Barbara Maier Gustern directs.

Richard Maltby Jr. to Direct Stevie Holland in LOVE, LINDA

Tony Award-winning director Richard Maltby, Jr. will be directing a limited engagement run of LOVE, LINDA, the stunning, one-woman tour de force musical and theatrical adventure starring acclaimed vocalist and musical theater actress Stevie Holland October 17th - November 10th at the Triad Theater, 158 West 72nd Street. The production features a book by Stevie Holland with Gary William Friedman and music and lyrics by Cole Porter.

Berkshire Theatre Group presents Emmy Award-winner Lee Kalcheim's (All in the Family) World Premiere, Coming Back Like a Song!, a play about Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen and Jimmy Van Heusen. Directed by Tony Award-nominated Gregg Edelman (City of Angels, Into The Woods; BTG: Arsenic and Old Lace, Constellations), Coming Back Like a Song! features Tony Award-nominated David Garrison (A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine) as Irving Berlin, Philip Hoffman (Cabaret, Falsettos) as Harold Arlen and David Rasche (Sledge Hammer!) as Jimmy Van Heusen. Performances begin Thursday, June 28, 2018 and run through Saturday, July 21, 2018 at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage (83 East Main Street) in Stockbridge, MA. 

McCarter Theatre Center Announces Lineup For 17th Annual Artists' Retreat

McCarter is proud to welcome a group of esteemed and emerging playwrights and theater artists to Princeton for the Sallie B. Goodman Artists' Retreat. The annual Retreat in June is a centerpiece of McCarter's LAB, a platform and creative incubator devoted to ongoing theatrical development and artist cultivation. The 2018 Retreat will take place from June 6 - June 13.

Directed by Sonia Sebastian, L.O.V.E.R. opens on April 13, running through May 12 at the Zephyr Theatre on Melrose Avenue.
