Director, producer and actor Isis Masoud (Bloodline, The Last Goodbye, Rock of Ages, Matter out of Place), and director Roger Ingraham of Sundance fame(Moonshine, As the Dust Settles, Matter Out Of Place), are thrilled to announce a week long screening oftheir newest short film AYITA'S DREAM at the Arena Cinelounge, 6464 Sunset Blvd. Lobby Level, Hollywood, CA 90028, from September 21-27, 2018.

The Paul Taylor Dance Foundation announced the death yesterday of legendary choreographer Paul Taylor in Manhattan on August 29.

To open the 45th season of its Dance Presenting Series, the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago presents the Chicago debut of Ephrat Asherie Dance (EAD), a company rooted in street and social dance. Performances take place October 11-13 at the Dance Center, 1306 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago.

Berkshire native and dancer Gina Bashour, praised by the New York Times as a 'powerhouse,' returns home to the Berkshires this summer as choreographer to premiere a site-specific dance performance entitled Unraveled, presented by TurnPark Art Space in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts. With a strong ensemble of performers, the work weaves together themes and imagery from the fable of Rumpelstiltskin with a current look at the relationships of men and women and the community around them. The performance, suitable for all ages, is being presented on August 25 and 26, 2018, at noon and 3:00 p.m. and is included with admission to TurnPark ($15/adult; $12 for students and seniors; free for TurnPark members and children under 12).

Parsons Dance - under the Artistic Direction of David Parsons -presented their yearly gala, honoring legendary Broadway composer and multiple award-winner Stephen Schwartz, featuring two pieces specially created for the evening.

A dancer's dancer, when asked about how the work is connected to her greater body of choreography, she said her “focus is on what comes naturally; I never want the dancers to stop themselves.”

In just two weeks, Capezio Dance Foundation presents: Capezio celebrates 130 years of excellence in a one-night only special Awards and show on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 7:30 pm at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, 361 Symphony Park Avenue, Las Vegas NV 89106. A glorious production will highlight some of the magical history of Capezio with numerous dance legends and stars of stage and screen saluting this milestone. Savion Glover the Tony Award winner dancer, choreographer and actor joins this special event. The show is produced and directed by Ann Marie DeAngelo. The show benefts The Actors Fund and Future Dance (a program sponsored by Nevada Ballet Theatre).

Dallas' Dark Circles Contemporary Dance has announced its 2018-19 Season. The company will produce seven world premieres, including a brand-new evening-length creation by Founder and Artistic Director Joshua L. Peugh, as well as commissioned works by highly sought-after and emerging choreographers Sidra Bell, Mark Caserta, Eoghan Dillon, and Mikey Morado.

Director, producer, actor and Miami-native, Isis Masoud (Bloodline, The Last Goodbye, Rock of Ages, Matter out of Place), and director Roger Ingraham of Sundance fame(Moonshine, As the Dust Settles, Matter Out Of Place), are thrilled to announce the World Premiere screening of their newest short film AYITA'S DREAM at the Miami Film Festival on Tuesday, March 13that 6:45 PM at MDC'S TOWER THEATER MIAMI in THEATER 1. A Q&A session with cast, directors and crew will take place following the film.

Ephrat "Bounce" Asherie, Artistic Director of Ephrat Asherie Dance, is awarded the inaugural Jacob's Pillow Fellowship at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post. The fellowship includes a $15,000 grant, a one-week residency at Jacob's Pillow's new Pillow Lab, and a residency at LIU Tilles Center. Executive Vice Chairman Roger Tilles was integral in making this new partnership between Jacob's Pillow and Long Island University possible.

The Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet presents four world premieres in the eighth annual Winning Works program, the culmination of Joffrey's national call for ALAANA (African, Latino(a), Asian, Arab and Native American) artists to submit applications for the Joffrey Academy's Eighth Annual Winning Works Choreographic Competition. This year's Competition winners-Telmo Moreira, Omar Roman De Jesus, Claudia Schreier and Luis Vazquez-each have choreographed an original work created on the Joffrey Academy Trainees and Studio Company. Winning Works returns to the MCA's Edlis Neeson Theater (220 E. Chicago Avenue) for three performances, Saturday, March 3 at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM and Sunday, March 4 at 2:00 PM.
