Drilling Company Celebrates 10 Years Of Shakespeare In Bryant Park With A Greatest Hits Retrospective May 25

On May 25 beginning at 7:00 PM at The Upper Terrace of Bryant Park, The Drilling Company and Bryant Park Shakespeare will celebrate ten years of their Shakespeare co-productions with a 'greatest hits' retrospective, 'A Celebration! Looking back on 10 Years of Free Bryant Park Shakespeare with The Drilling Company.'

The Drilling Company's OTHELLO Comes to Bryant Park

Bryant Park assumes the guise of wartime Venice as New York's famed theater company, The Drilling Company (TDC) of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot, present their rendition of Shakespeare's immortal drama Othello at Bryant Park's Picnic Performance series. All shows are open to the public and take place outdoors on the Bryant Park stage, rain or shine. Blankets are available for rent free of charge and picnicking on the green is encouraged.

The Drilling Company, led by director/producer Hamilton Clancy, returns for their fifth summer season at Bryant Park. Best known for their Shakespeare in the Parking Lot performance series (now entering its 24th season), The Drilling Company brings three of The Bard's best-known plays to the park this summer: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Twelfth Night, and Macbeth.

The Merry Wives of Windsor, Shakespeare's only comedy set in or around London, is now modernized in the setting of an Upper West Side cooperative by Drilling Company Shakespeare. Performances will run in Bryant Park, Fridays and Saturdays from May 19 to June 3.

Due to scheduling conflicts, producer Eric Krebs has announced today A Class Act, the inaugural and relevant new play by attorney and playwright Norman Shabel, will give its final performance on Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at New World Stages - Stage 5 (340 West 50th Street - between 8th & 9th Avenues) where performances began July 9, 2016 followed by Opening Night on July 25, 2016.

Illyria becomes the Parking Lot itself in Shakespeare in the Parking Lot's production of 'Twelfth Night,' directed by Hamilton Clancy, to be presented by The Drilling Company from today, July 10 to 26 in the Municipal Parking Lot at the corner of Ludlow and Broome Streets.
