Entering its third year of residency, The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) returns to the Harris Theater for the first of three performances in the Michael Hill Series during the Theater's milestone 10th season, beginning with the Bach Brandenburg Concertos on Wednesday, December 18 at 7:30 pm. The Wednesday night engagement marks the first time that CMS will perform the popular Brandenburg Concertos for an audience outside of New York and New Jersey - the start of a new annual holiday tradition at the Harris. The concerti, performed annually in New York to sold-out audiences, have become a staple of CMS' holiday programming.

The venerable nine-time Grammy Award-winning Emerson String Quartet performs at Segerstrom Center for the Arts on January 10 as part of its popular yearly visit to Orange County. Center chamber music fans will experience a new chapter as the enduring ensemble welcomes cellist Paul Watkins, who took the place of David Finckel in May 2013. The musicians of the Emerson String Quartet are Eugene Drucker, violin; Philip Setzer, violin; Lawrence Dutton, viola and Paul Watkins, cello. The evening's program will include Beethoven's rousing "Razumovsky" Quartets, Op. 59, No. 1-3.

During the capacity-crowd reception, Ovations Members and their friends received the first look at the new season. From the fresh to the familiar with much fun along the way, the 2013-14 season of 27 performances takes place at Merrill Auditorium, Hannaford Hall at USM, Portland, ICA at MECA, SPACE Gallery and Westbrook Performing Arts Center.
