The Love show announces special guests for the November 11th edition of 'Brooklyn Beerlesque'!

Announcing! The world's only curated beer and burlesque pairing, The Love Show's 'Brooklyn Beerlesque', returns to Brooklyn Brewery for our Fall season on the second Monday of every month!

The Love Show and David F. Slone, Esq. are delighted to announce that showgirl and celebrity impersonator, Maria Kent, and song parodist and LGBTQ activist, Evan Laurence, will be joining them for 'Brooklyn Beerlesque: Pride Edition'! 

An immersive feast for all the senses, 'Brooklyn Beerlesque' allows guests to sample a flight of Brooklyn Brewery's world renowned craft brews, each paired with an intoxicating performance. Both the beer and the dance will run the gamut of styles from delicate and nuanced to brash and robust. Have you ever wondered what sort of production number best pairs with an Imperial Russian Stout? What cabaret classic complements a crisp, Bavarian Pilsner? What magical illusion can tease out the nuances of an exotically spiced Saison? Wonder no more!

The world's only curated beer and dance pairing, The Love Show's 'Brooklyn Beerlesque', returns to Brooklyn Brewery, where it debuted in 2012!

THELONIOUS! by award winning multidisciplinary artist Peter Welch is a dark, syncopated comedy about the American Dream told through the nightmare of a failing marriage. The play's world premiere will be presented by the legendary downtown performance staple Theater for the New City (TNC) from February 7th to March 3rd, 2019. The production will feature a diverse cast consisting of Nicholas Santasier, Sly Augustus, David F. Slone Esq., Courtney Torres, Xiren Wang, Jaine Ye and Remington Moses (the great granddaughter of Ozzie & Harriet Nelson, granddaughter of Ricky Nelson and daughter of prolific television actors William Moses and Tracy Nelson). The production will be directed by TNC's Administrative Director Jonathan Weber, and is being produced by PRIME Stage to Screen, who brought the highly praised GREAT KILLS starring EMMY winner Joe Pantoliano to TNC in 2015.

Theater for the New City has announced the cast of THE OPEN GATE, a new musical adaptation of Nobel Prize-winning author Isaac Bashevis Singer's novel The Manor, which will begin previews on Sunday October 14th at Theater for the New City (155 First Avenue at 10th Street).

David F. Slone has been blessed to spend much of his life attending and performing in fabulous shows. Nonetheless, he's particularly giddy to be able to celebrate his the culmination of his fifth decade on the planet by presenting this ridiculously eclectic evening of song, dance, magic, circus, comedy, and more!

The Love Show is a theatrical dance company based in Brooklyn that combines cabaret, ballet, rock, comedy, and theater into creative performances all over the US and beyond. The Love Show has entertained all audiences, rocking stages from Lebowskifest to The Public's Shakespeare in The Park. The Love Show was commissioned to perform original choreography for clients including Banksy, Veuve Clicquot, Bacardi, and Vogue Magazine.

Although the show has officially ended, the curtain closed, the beautiful coloratura no longer reaching the heavens, the likes of Giovanni the Fearless are still very much alive in the hearts of audiences fortunate enough to see this whimsical musical comedy. I describe it as such because of the emotional scale of its plot, explaining the lack of actual children in the audience. From the almost surreal life of a traveling troupe of family actors, to how it all crumbles under the reality of their situation to be raised again by the at first unaccepted possibility of love, everyone is in need of a good commedia dell'arte musical that is tinged with just the right amount of childish belief, and with just enough reality to consider this a show that makes people of all ages believe in the magic of something greater.
