ALABAMA Inducted into Musicians Hall of Fame; Receives First-Ever Lifetime Achievement Award

ALABAMA, the most successful band in the history of country music, has been formally inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame. Last night, October 22, Jeff Cook, Teddy Gentry and Randy Owen were made official members during a commemorative Medallion Ceremony held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Garth Brooks Inducts Steve Wariner into Musicians Hall of Fame

Longtime friend and collaborator, Garth Brooks, inducted singer/songwriter/storyteller and multi-instrumentalist, Steve Wariner, into the Musicians Hall of Fame at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tenn Tuesday night after they performed their multi-platinum No. 1 hit 'Long Neck Bottle,' which Wariner co-wrote.

Oratorio Society Of New York Announces Update To 2019-20 Season

The 2019-20 season of the Oratorio Society of New York, the city's standard for grand choral performance led by its acclaimed music director, Kent Tritle, is highlighted by two premieres that reflect its 146-year history: the U.S. premiere of a new critical edition of a Brahms masterwork that the Society performed in 1877; and the world premiere of A Nation of Others, an OSNY-commissioned oratorio for soloists, chorus, and orchestra by composer Paul Moravec and librettist Mark Campbell on the subject of immigrants' arrival at Ellis Island.

ALABAMA Announced for Induction Into Musicians Hall of Fame

Iconic country group ALABAMA will soon add another accolade to its long list of achievements. On Tuesday afternoon in Nashville, GRAMMY-nominated guitarist Joe Bonamassa announced the band (Jeff Cook, Teddy Gentry and Randy Owen) as 2019 inductees into the Musicians Hall of Fame. Additionally, ALABAMA will receive the organization's first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award.

Kent Tritle Announces 2019 Spring Concert Season

The programs of Kent Tritle's spring 2019 concerts offer a display of the conductor's work on both a grand and intimate scale. 'New York's choral conducting superstar' (Time Out New York), leads the Oratorio Society of New York at Carnegie Hall in Sibelius's massive Kullervo, and in Verdi's mighty Requiem. Narrowing the lens, he conducts Musica Sacra in an a cappella program of works interleaving the Renaissance William Byrd's Mass for Five Voices with new works, including the world premiere of Migration by Michael Gilbertson for choir and cello; and he leads the Cathedral Choir and Orchestra of St. John the Divine in a program of music by Poulenc and the Faure Requiem.

Neil Young's ROXY, TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT LIVE Released Globally Today

Today, Neil Young and Reprise Records release ROXY -Tonight's The Night Live around the world on standard three-sided vinyl, CD and digital. Following the sold out Record Store Day exclusive vinyl edition, which included a live photo of Neil with the Santa Monica Flyers live on stage at The Roxy in West Hollywood, these packages contain the exact same music. This is the only album to be released internationally today.

Neil Young Set To Release Limited Edition of ROXY: TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT Live

Neil Young is set to release one of the most sought-after recordings from his vast archives, Roxy – Tonight's The Night Live on three-sided 2LP set exclusively on Record Store Day, April 21st.  This was the first public performance of many of the songs that would make up Young's seminal album Tonight's The Night, which would not be released until June 1975. The album's final track “Walk On” would not appear until the release ofOn The Beach, in July 1974.

Kent Tritle Announces Spring 2018 Line Up

In the spring of 2018, choral conducting superstar (Time Out New York) Kent Tritle leads two programs featuring world premieres of works with American themes that are resonating especially strongly today: with the Oratorio Society of New York, Sanctuary Road, an oratorio about the Underground Railroad with music by Paul Moravec and text by Mark Campbell (commissioned by the OSNY) based upon the accounts of William Still, as well as Behzad Ranjbaran's We Are One (commissioned by the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra) on May 7; and a program at the Cathedral Choir of St. John the Divine celebrating the immigrant history of New York in collaboration with early/world music group Rose of the Compass that includes the world premiere of a commissioned work by Robert Sirota, text by Reverend Victoria Sirota, on April 9.

Cathedral of St. John The Divine Presents U.S. Premiere Of David Briggs' Transcription Of Symphony No. 1

International concert organist and composer David Briggs will perform his transcription of Elgar's deeply moving First Symphony (1908) on Friday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m., at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street), Manhattan. This concert opens Great Organ: A Recital Series, part of the 2017 2018 season of Great Music in a Great Space.

Neil Young Gem 'Hitchhiker'  Out Today via Reprise Records

Neil Young releases a true gem from his archives, Hitchhiker today. As previously announced, Hitchhiker is a previously unreleased 10-track acoustic solo album recorded in Malibu, CA at Indigo Studio in 1976.
