Today The National announced I Am Easy To Find due out May 17th on 4AD along with opening track “You Had Your Soul With You” featuring the vocals of longtime David Bowie collaborator Gail Ann Dorsey. I Am Easy To Find is the band's eighth studio album and the follow-up to 2017's GRAMMY®-award winning releaseSleep Well Beast. A companion short film with the same name will also be released with music by The National and inspired by the album. The film was directed by Academy Award-nominated director Mike Mills (20th Century Women, Beginners), and starring Academy Award Winner Alicia Vikander. John Vanderslice is returning with his first album in six years, The Cedars, due out April 5, and today he shared a new single, 'Will Call,' a song that he calls his biggest departure yet. Consequence of Sound premiered the track today, writing, 'this new track uses slightly off kilter electronic elements to create a feeling that teeters between grace and anxiety. With The Cedars inspired by the natural beauty of Vanderslice's land in Northern California, the slow pulsing sine waves rolling under scattered bells and keys translate the terrain into a hypnotic soundscape.' Vanderslice also shared his inspirations for the song, which include Sonoma and Los Angeles, and a couple of his current favorite artists, Spirit of the Beehive and JPEGMAFIA.
