If you go see the Contemporary Theater Company's current production of Peter and the Starcatcher, prepare to be enchanted. This production - at times poignant, at times delightfully silly - casts a spell over the viewer with the imaginative ways it tells the backstory of Peter Pan. The play, adapted for stage by Rick Elice, is based on the 2004 book by humorist Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. Music is by Wayne Barker.

SoLuna Studio will produce the family-friendly, Tony Award winning 'play with music' PETER AND THE STARCATCHER as a part their professional mainstage season, with performances running July 13th-29th. Neverland comes to Raleigh with the hilarious comedy-with-music, Peter and the Starcatcher, set to run April 20 through May 6. It's a magic-filled adventure featuring Peter, Molly Aster and the Lost Boys, who battle evil pirate Black Stache, in their journey to keep their treasure safe and save the world.

Stagecrafters Youth Theatre kicks things off in July with the beloved Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr., a classic fairy tale about a spoiled prince in an enchanted castle who must learn how to truly love in order to break the spell that has turned him into a hideous beast. With award-winning score and a host of enchanted characters, the show is sure to be fun for all ages. This Disney Junior spectacular will be performed by actors ages 8-18.
