This Thursday 13 April the inaugural winners of the MTI Stiles + Drewe Mentorship Award receive an industry showcase of their new musical The Wicker Husband at The Other Palace. The Mentorship Award was launched in 2016 and runs alongside their prize for Best New Song which has now been running for 10 years.

The world premiere of a brand-new, one-man musical will be the first musical to be performed in Southwark Playhouse's Little space.

Director of Nuffield Theatre Sam Hodges today announces the full cast for its brand new adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic Fantastic Mr Fox, a co-production with Curve, in association with Lyric Hammersmith.  Greg Barnett plays Mr Fox, with Richard Atwill (Rat/Bean), Raphael Bushay (Badger/Boggis), Jade Croot (Kit), Sandy Foster(Rabbit), Lillie Flynn (Mrs Fox), Gruffudd Glyn (Mole/Bunce), Kelly Jackson (Mouse), and Edward Hole and Tanya Shields completing the ensemble, alongside actor-musicians, Patrick Burbridge, Anna Fordham and Richie Hart.  

In celebration of Roald Dahl Day, which will mark Roald Dahl's 100th birthday on 13 September, producing partners Nuffield and Curve in association with Lyric Hammersmith, today announced a major UK tour of Roald Dahl's FANTASTIC MR FOX, in a brand new musical adaptation for the stage. Following its world premiere at Nuffield Southampton Theatres this Christmas (22 Nov - 8 Jan. National Press Night: Wed 30 November, 7pm), FANTASTIC MR FOX will transfer to the Lyric Hammersmith for a 4-week run (25 Jan - 19 Feb) and will then tour to a further 16 venues nationwide, including Curve (3 - 9 April). This brand new family show is a playful re-telling of Roald Dahl's much-loved book; a brilliantly witty tale of the clever Mr Fox outfoxing three greedy farmers, brought to life on stage with live music and songs. Tickets are now on sale.

Scamp Theatre is proud to present their latest production, a truly heart-warming adaptation of The Scarecrows' Wedding, based on the book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, playing in the West End at Leicester Square Theatre from tonight 9 July to Sunday 4 September 2016. There will be press performances on Friday 15 and Today 16 July at 2.00pm.

This heart-warming adaptation of Emily Hughes' popular children's book THE LITTLE GARDENER is an outdoor, interactive adventure for all little gardeners. The production will tour the UK this June and July.

THESE TREES ARE MADE OF BLOOD, a new play about Argentina's Dirty War, premiered in The Little at Southwark Playhouse in April 2015 to sold out audiences and rave reviews. ?Nuffield, Southampton's leading professional producing company, today announced their new 2016 Autumn season which boasts two world premieres; a major new musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox and a brand new play, dramatising Shakespeare's mysterious relationship with his patron, the 3rd Earl of Southampton.

Twelve student finalists from top drama schools across the UK competed for the title of this year's Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year (SSSSPOTY), on Sunday 17th May at the Garrick Theatre in London's West End. Each student sung a song by Stephen Sondheim and, at his personal request, they each sang a new musical theatre song, written by members of Mercury Musical Developments and shortlisted for the Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Prize. These Trees Are Made of Blood, a new play about Argentina's Dirty War, will play in The Little at Southwark Playhouse from Wednesday 18 March to Saturday 11 April 2015, with a press night on Friday 20 March at 8.00pm.

Southwark Playhouse's 2015 spring season in The Little has been announced, including two world premieres, and one revival will play between February and April. As previously announced, Upper Cut will open the season in January.
