Chicago’s Griffin Theatre Company has released production photos from THE HOUSE WITHOUT A CHRISTMAS TREE, the World Premiere musical based on the classic Christmas novel by Gail Rock, running December 1 - 29, 2024.
The Artistic Home Artistic Director Kathy Scambiatterra announced today that the company's production of By the Bog of Cats, by Marina Carr, will extend its run by an additional three weeks to meet the overwhelming demand for seats. The Chicago Tribune's Kerry Reid said of it 'Mossman and his cast dig into the textures of Carr's script with gusto and sensitivity. Collins gives a bravura performance.' The Artistic Home's production, which opened to the press on February 13, is directed by Jeff Award winner and ensemble member John Mossman.

Project 891 Theatre Co proudly opens their second season with The Last Night of Ballyhoo by Alfred Uhry in the historic North Lakeside Cultural Center. Set in 1939 Atlanta with the premiere of Gone with the Wind as a backdrop, the Jewish Freitag family is forced to face how they identify with who they are and where they come from when a newcomer from New York enters their lives and illuminates the prejudices within Atlanta's Jewish community. With the circa 1910 North Lakeside Cultural Center mansion as the set, the audience has a unique opportunity to be a fly on the wall of the Freitag living room as the family members go about their lives. The intimacy of the vintage space allows for heightened drama and a sense that the audience has genuinely wandered back in time.
