The College-Conservatory of Music Winds Studies program ushers in the new school year with everything from contemporary Great Britain wind music, to staples in the American standard wind repertoire.

On Sunday, October 17th at 2pm, the French-based Zodiac Trio will perform on the Schneider Series at the New School School's Tishman Auditorium, making it the first clarinet-violin-piano ensemble to be presented by the series in its 54-year history.

Ivan Shulman, Music Director of the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra (LADSO), has announced the orchestra will kick off its 2010 - 2011 (57th Annual) Season, in their new permanent artistic home at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles. During the course of LADSO's Inaugural Season in residence at The Ebell of Los Angeles, the orchestra will present two concert programs in the Grand Lounge, one on November 12, 2010, and another on March 20, 2011. The season will culminate with a performance in the Wilshire Ebell Theatre on Sunday, June 5, 2011.

Now a new CD marks the arrival of the Glass Chamber Players, a group of classical virtuosi and chamber musicians whose mission is to perform Glass's chamber works in conjunction with masterpieces of the classical repertoire, putting both in striking new contexts.

The timely tale follows two visionaries, Mayor Charles Farnsley and Louisville Orchestra's first Music Director, Robert Whitney as they faced the odds making Louisville, Kentucky and its orchestra world renowned for new music.

Two New York premieres will be featured in a concert by the Temple University Symphony Orchestra on Friday, April 9, 2010, at 8 p.m. in Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall (Broadway at 65th St., Manhattan).
