CCM Winds Announces 2010 Fall Season Concert Schedule

The College-Conservatory of Music Winds Studies program ushers in the new school year with everything from contemporary Great Britain wind music, to staples in the American standard wind repertoire. Conductors Rodney Winther and Terence Milligan both partake in this wonderful spectrum of celebrated wind music and usher in a new school year with many celebrated works.

CCM Wind Symphony
Rodney Winther, music director and conductor
"Something Old, Something New"
The Wind Symphony's season opening concert, featuring music from the standard wind band repertoire.

Wind Ensemble

Come join the CCM Wind Ensemble and Terence Milligan as they kick off the new school year with some old favorites. This concert features music from the wind band heritage, including works by Copland, Grainger, Persichetti, Lo Presti and a transcription of music by Bach.

The Wind Ensemble presents music from England in a salute to the British Band tradition. This concert contains music from the sixteenth to the twenty-first centuries and includes well-known works by Byrd, Vaughan Williams, Alford and Hesketh. Hearken! The British are coming!
