Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will present the national tour of Fancy Nancy The Musical on Saturday, May 2, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the Virginia G. Piper Theater.

Broadway In Chicago and Emerald City Theatre have announced FANCY NANCY THE MUSICAL, based on the bestselling book series by Jane O'Connor and illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser, will play the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut) July 11 through August 23, 2015. On Monday, November 24 at 8pm, Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) hosted a developmental reading of MILES & ME, a new musical with Book and Lyrics by Kendell Pinkney, and Music by Danny Abosch (Fancy Nancy, Placebo). The reading will feature Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Michael Mendez (Chaplin), and Jill Abramovitz (Cinderella) along with Jenny Rose Baker, Ally Bonino, Eric Stephenson, Jessica Kahkoska, Michael Fidalgo, and Michael Lapinsky. The series includes four BACT productions - Five Little Monkeys, James and the Giant Peach, Three Little Birds, and Fancy Nancy, the Musical! - as well as one MTC production - Around the World in 80 Days. The Eisemann Center and the City of Richardson announced the 2014-2015 Season of Eisemann Center Presents (ECP) at the Annual Season Preview Party on Thursday, May 8, 2014. The season will include the popular Theatre Comedy Series with four productions and 23 performances; the Methodist Richardson Family Theatre Series with five productions and Jeffrey Siegel's Keyboard Conversations with a total of four concerts. In addition, there are eight MainStage Shows featuring a diverse mix of programming and artistic disciplines. Some of the more popular productions and artists from the past twelve years are returning to join the season - Mandy Patinkin, Steve Solomon, the Paul Taylor Dance Company and The Church Basement Ladies.
