An original star recreates an iconic song!

Drama Desk Award winner and Drama League nominee Lisa Howard, who is currently earning rave reviews starring as Jenny Steinberg in Broadway's 'It Shoulda Been You', is the final special guest performer to join Tim Realbuto in his autobiographical piece 'Wunderkind' at The New York Musical Theatre Festival. Ms. Howard is also well known for her portrayal of Rona Lisa Peretti in the original Broadway cast of 'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee'. Her numerous other Broadway credits include Lincoln Center's 'South Pacific'; '9 to 5'; and 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert'. On television, she appeared on ABC's 'Ugly Betty', but is perhaps most known to film audiences as Siobahn in 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.' Next up, she will star as Sylvia in director Joseph Wartnerchaney 's thriller 'Decay' for Ghost Orchid Films.

Tony Award winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone; Mamma Mia!) and Michael Nigro (who starred as Fredrich von Trapp opposite Carrie Underwood in NBC's "The Sound of Music Live!") are the final two special guest performers to join Tim Realbuto in his autobiographical piece 'Wunderkind' at The New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Tim Realbuto is bringing his critically acclaimed not-so-solo solo show 'Tim Realbuto: Wunderkind' to the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) for a special one night only concert event on Sunday, July 26th at 5:00 PM. Individual tickets cost $27.50 and the performance will take place at Theater 3, 311 W. 43rd Street, NYC.

Can you believe it's been almost 28 years since the original production of Into the Woods opened on Broadway? Seems like only yesterday my mother was dragging a 6-year-old me, literally kicking and screaming, from below the marquee of the Martin Beck Theatre (now the Al Hirschfeld) to the Winter Garden Theatre where Cats was playing. (I wanted desperately to see Into the Woods, but a family 'friend' told my parents that Cats would be more appropriate for my age group. Thanks for ruining my life, lady.) In the right light, you can still to this day see my claw marks scraped along 45th Street.

Monday Morning Productions in association with Actorman Entertainment is announcing the debut of the second season of its original series “He's With Me” this summer. New episodes will be debuted at www.heswithme.tv and on the “He's With Me” YouTube Channel (youtube.com/user/HWMtheseries) beginning Monday, June 29th, with episodes running throughout August.

Stephen Sondheim, James Lapine and the original cast of Broadway's INTO THE WOODS have returned to the New York stage. The Tony-winning composer and members of the original company, including Bernadette Peters and Chip Zien, reunited yesterday, June 21, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music for an INTO THE WOODS reunion. Stephen Sondheim, James Lapine and the original cast of Broadway's INTO THE WOODS are headed back to New York.

Today we are talking to a terrifically talented triple-threat who made a major mark on Broadway with her star turns in GYPSY and WICKED before appearing this season in the brand new Shakespeare-themed musical comedy SOMETHING ROTTEN!, the effortlessly cute and convivial Kate Reinders. Discussing her hilarious role in the fresh Broadway musical, Reinders praises her starry assortment of co-stars - including Brian D'Arcy James, Christian Borle and John Cariani - in addition to analyzing all the details about putting a brand new musical on its feet directly before the eyes of Broadway. Additionally, Reinders shares some of her favorite moments in the show and touches upon some of the changes that have been implemented to the new Shakespeare-themed musical as it was refined over the course of previews, having opened straight in NYC without an out-of-town tryout. Besides all about her fabulously jocular turn in SOMETHING ROTTEN!, Reinders also reflects on some of her most familiar performances to date on the Great White Way and beyond, including her star-making performance in the 2003 revival of GYPSY, starring Bernadette Peters and directed by Sam Mendes, in addition to her notable run in mega-hit Oz musical WICKED. Co-directors/producers Deborah Goldstein (Publisher, Village Q), Brooke Lefferts (Writer, Associated Press, NBC Today), Sandy Rustin (Playwright, Rated P ... for Parenthood, The Cottage, Struck)are pleased to announce the incredible local cast of the 2015 North Jersey show of Listen to Your Mother, a national series of original live readings about motherhood (www.listentoyourmothershow.com). After seeing the new INTO THE WOODS movie twice over the holidays, I posted on Twitter about how two of the songs had stuck with me. After a tweet conversation, my BWW colleague Jeff Walker and I decided to put our heads together to try and come up with a list of Sondheim's most hummable tunes. Despite not discussing it beforehand, Jeff ended up picking songs from the 1960s and 70s, and I filled in the gaps with numbers from the 80s and 90s.
