This weekend, Glenda Jackson was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Lillys, an organization that honors women in the theater. Jackson was honored onstage following a performance of King Lear, by her costar Elizabeth Marvel.

'King Lear' star Ruth Wilson was a guest on last night's episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. During the interview, Wilson recalled when she was in the show 'Header' at the National Theatre and she had to think fast during a live performance when someone from the audience called out, 'Is there a doctor in the house?'

One of Shakespeare's greatest dramas officially returned to Broadway last night. Deaf West Theatre's acclaimed Broadway production of SPRING AWAKENING closes today, Sunday, January 24 after 129 performances. The production will have life after Broadway, however, with a national tour scheduled to launch in 2017.

BroadwayWorld has learned that due to prior commitments, Marlee Matlin and Camryn Manheim will play their final performances in Deaf West Theatre's Broadway production of SPRING AWAKENING on January 10, 2016. Their roles will be filled by Alexandria Wailes and Elizabeth Greene, respectively, and the show will close on January 24 as scheduled.
