The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, now in their tenth year, kicks off their rigorous professional experience for artists 25 and under tonight with their own production of The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues, featuring the 43 program participants and 12 guest writers from previous years of the Nationals program.
This hybrid co-production of Hold These Truths marked San Francisco Playhouse’s return to in-person performances and was also available for audiences to enjoy at home on-demand. San Francisco Playhouse followed strict health and safety protocols to minimize risks to patrons, actors, and staff.

The “See Us Unite for Change” special is part of the See Us Unite cultural campaign, a multi-platform effort led by The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) and its coalition of partners including the Ford Foundation, John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

The Drama League has just announced the 2021 Nominees and Special Recognition Honorees for The 87th Annual Drama League Awards. Keeping in the tradition of honoring the outstanding accomplishments of the theatrical community, as they have since 1935, this year the organization has established five unique categories to honor the extraordinary achievements of artists across the nation who created digital and socially-distanced theatrical productions during this challenging year of suspension for live arts.

Beginning at 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 28th, one monologue will be released every 15 minutes on Instagram, Facebook and Youtube.
