A new season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is heading to Netflix on July 19, 2019.

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) announced the first 11 new shows to be added to its 2019 2020 season, continuing its tradition of showcasing a diverse lineup of chart-topping musicians, compelling dance companies, and groundbreaking storytellers. Tickets for all shows go on-sale to LBC members today, Friday, April 5 at 12 p.m., and to the general public on Friday, April 26 at 12 p.m. Tickets are available online at lutherburbankcenter.org, by calling 707-546-3600, or at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts ticket office (50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa), open Tuesdays through Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.

Written and performed by two-time Obie Award winner Heidi Schreck (Grand Concourse, 'I Love Dick') and directed by Obie Award winner Oliver Butler (The Amateurs, The Light Years), What the Constitution Means to Me opens tonight, March 31, 2019, at the Helen Hayes Theater (240 W 44th Street, New York, NY).

Highly recognized talent from various walks of life will introduce the eight Best Picture nominees on Oscar Sunday, Feb. 24, announced show producer Donna Gigliotti and co-producer and director Glenn Weiss.

Robert Dubac's newest Off-Broadway solo hit, The Book of Moron, makes its appearance at the Washington Pavilion for a limited engagement February 1-2, 2019. The show will be in the intimate Belbas Theater for three performances.

I had the chance to catch up with Ms. Piper as she was preparing to make her way to Palm Springs for her show this weekend. Here are a few excerpts from that interview:

Myles Weber is a Comedian on a mission. He took first place at the 40th Annual San Francisco International Comedy Competition (past competitors include Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, Sinbad, Ellen Degeneres, Louis CK, and Dane Cook), and was the second youngest to win the competition and one of only two comics to ever sweep the whole thing. He has also fared well in festivals, having been voted "Best of The Fest" at the Burbank and San Luis Obispo Comedy Festivals.

TOOTSIE's world premiere pre-Broadway engagement officially opened last night, September 30, at Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre. Steven Lyons & Jamie Campbell are reuniting for a limited-run comedy tour that will hit a handful of lucky cities this October. The duo met when they were both stand-out performers in Chicago's world-famous comedy scene. Two twelve year-olds trapped inside the bodies of 30-something men, their act combines sketch comedy, stand-up, improvisation, and any other mix of dumb fun they can think of! Before disbanding when both left Chicago, they collaborated on the sketch comedy/talk show Talk Hard, which was named Chicago's "Best Sketch/Improv Troupe" by The Chicago Reader. The duo has performed on numerous stages, including The CSz Theater, Laugh Out Loud Comedy, Chicago Underground Comedy, Under The Gun Theater, and as headliners at the Columbus Improv Festival. They appeared on television sets across the nation as guests on Steve Gadlin's Star Makers. Steven now resides back in his home country of New Zealand, but is returning to the U.S. for a brief stint, making this very limited reunion tour possible. The Colony Theatre in Burbank has announced a four-performance engagement of Have Several Seats (A Musical Comedy Show) starring Carlie Craig, opening on September 27. Musical direction is by Emily Rosenfield.
