Dan Zanes & Claudia Eliaza Bring Sensory Friendly Comic Folk Opera NIGHT TRAIN 57 to NYC

Night Train 57 the latest project from the modern master of all-ages music, NYC's beloved Grammy winner Dan Zanes. In the spirit of Leadbelly, Pete Seeger and more, Dan has spent the past 18 years specializing in music for kids and kid sympathizers. This summer Dan's label released it's 22nd release, the soundtrack to his latest opus, the Sensory Friendly Comic Folk opera Night Train 57, a musical adventure that leads listeners and audiences into the cosmos on an epic journey.

Pepperdine Center For The Arts Announces 2018–2019 Season

Leading interpreter of the Great American Songbook Michael Feinstein, ukulele virtuosi Jake Shimabukuro, Grammy Award winning singer Sheena Easton, and acrobatic troupe Cirque Mechanics, are just a few of the artists set to appear at the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts at Pepperdine University during its 2018-2019 season.

Taylor Mac To Perform A 24-DECADE HISTORY OF POPULAR MUSIC In Its Entirety For Final Time At The Kimmel Center

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in a co-presentation with Pomegranate Arts, is thrilled to announce the special guest artists who will perform in Taylor Mac's ambitious, internationally acclaimed work A 24-Decade History of Popular Music. Local Philadelphia performance artists and musicians will join Mac in these final U.S. performances of the full, 24-hour-long pop odyssey, June 2 & 9 at the Kimmel Center's Merriam Theater, as part of the 2018 Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA). Mac will perform A 24-Decade History of Popular Music as two distinct 12-hour concerts, Saturday, June 2 (1776-1896) and Saturday, June 9 (1896-present day) - Mac's longest continuous performances since the work premiered at St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn in 2016.

Elizabeth Mitchell & Suni Paz Present the Tú Eres Mi Flor Family Show At The Brooklyn Folk Festival

Tu Eres Mi Flor is a sunny collection of songs sung in Spanish by beloved children's artists Elizabeth Mitchell and Suni Paz. Released on Smithsonian Folkways Recordings during the record label's 70th anniversary celebration, the album honors the legacy of Folkways founder Moses Asch to document quality children's music, and it balances ample amounts of fun and education. The selections include many well-known American folk songs that have been adapted for the enjoyment of both Spanish- and English-speaking children. Elizabeth Mitchell and Suni Paz will be performing songs from the new collection at the upcoming Brooklyn Folk Festival on April 8 at the historic St. Ann's Church in Brooklyn Heights.
