Bellevue Little Theatre, 203 W. Mission in Bellevue, will open its 2014--15 season, the theatre's 46th, on Friday Sept. 12. with the classic Rogers and Hammerstein musical, 'Oklahoma', Production dates are Sept. 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 21, and 26, 27, 28.

The Hollywood Fringe Festival is just around the corner and this year, more than ever before, audiences will have an opportunity to see creative twists on some familiar classic plays, including some by Shakespeare. At last count, there were 8 productions scheduled to appear and, over the next few weeks, I'll be checking in with them to get the inside scoop so you can make the most of your Fringe experience. It's Shakespeare's 450th birthday this year; let the games begin.

StageWorks is pleased to announce that veteran television and film actress Stefanie Powers is scheduled to appear in "The Man Who Came to Dinner" at 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Annenberg Theater in Palm Springs. Powers, best known for her role as Jennifer Hart in the 1980's television series "Hart to Hart," joins a roster of celebrities for this one-night-only performance to benefit Coyote StageWorks, a not-for-profit company dedicated to advancing theatre as a vital art form in the desert communities of the Coachella Valley.

Coyote StageWorks, an Actors' Equity professional theater company, is pleased to announce it has been named "Best Live Theater 2014" in the 21st annual Desert Magazine 'Best of the Valley" contest. Winners of the popular poll, which is conducted among readers of the publication and mydesert.com, were announced yesterday.

Fountain Hills Theater presents its 2013-14 seasons for its three venues, Mainstage, Mainstage Too and Youth Theater.

The film follows the events of May 1996 on Mount Everest, in which a group of climbers were caught in a deadly snowstorm during summit attempts, which resulted in eight deaths. The year marked Everest's most deadly season.

Beginning in July 2013, the Alley Theatre will produce Agatha Christie's The Hollow during its popular ExxonMobil Summer Chills series. Under the direction of Gregory Boyd, the Alley's resident company of actors will bring to life the colorful cast of characters in Agatha Christie's The Hollow.

Brolin joins Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon, Martin Short Owen Wilson, and Jena Malone for the film. Sean Penn is also reportedly considering a role.

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) presents the final installment of the 2012-13 Studio Series with a production of Emily Mann's powerful docu-drama Execution of Justice, directed by CCM Professor of Drama Michael Burnham. Execution of Justice runs tonight, April 18-20 in UC's Cohen Family Studio Theater. Admission is free, but reservations are required. This production contains mature subject matter.

But over the course of his 25 years at the school, the Bentley Concert Choir (BCC) developed a widespread reputation for excellence, and its members traveled worldwide sharing their musical abilities. When Bentley closed in 1985, Smith went on to develop the CAPA (Creative and Performing Arts Program) at Churchill High School. Smith, along with members of his musical family, will perform a concert to benefit Paul's Players, a local community theater group, tonight, February 9, 2013.

SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is coming to theaters on October 4, 2013 from Dimension Films (The Weinstein Company). The film is directed by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller. According to Comingsoon, Josh Brolin has signed on for the fim, in which he will star as 'Dwight'.
