Actress Micki Sharpe is getting into the habit, both literally and figuratively, of performing each December at Hedgerow Theatre in a musical comedy from Dan Goggin's Nunsense series. She appeared as the Mother Superior in the original, Nunsense, in 2009 and in Nuncrackers in 2010. This year, she's returning to a character she first played in 1986 in Sister Robert Anne's Cabaret Class, which opens on December 29 and runs through January 15.

The Little Sisters of Hoboken have gone Hollywood in the latest installment of the international musical comedy sensation Nunsense franchise with Nunset Boulevard. The Sisters will commit their exploits to celluloid in a New York City filming of the show for future DVD release, it was announced today by Nunsense creator Dan Goggin. The public is invited to be a part of the live audience for two performances of the show, which will take place on July 15 & 16, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. at the Di Capo Theatre (184 East 76th St. between Lexington Ave. and Third Ave., under Saint Jean Baptiste Church). performance only on May 21, 2011 as its season kick-off event. 'Jones' one woman show, 'An Evening of Stories and Songs' will be a ‘stellar' beginning to the season,' said Gretna Theatre's producing artistic director Larry Frenock. 'We were fortunate to meet Ms. Jones when we attended her performance at the legendary Feinstein's night club while conducting our season auditions in New York City in March,' said Frenock. 'I asked if she might consider helping us with this fundraising event at Gretna Theatre and she accepted!'
