A hysterical musical romp takes the Texas Repertory Stage this summer. The Texas Rep Theatre Co., Houston's Uptown Classic Theatre, continues its tradition of Summer musicals with Dan Goggin's classic musical, NUNSENSE. Directed in an new production by Dan O'brien, NUNSENSE will preview on June 26 opening on Friday, June 27th, and will run 4 performances a week through July 28th.

Sometimes, all a writer/producer/director has to do is find one perfect combination of elements, that one elusive perfect formula, and it immediately takes off. More than that, it becomes a huge success, lasting for years and spawning a long line of sequels, spin-offs and imitators. Think the tv show Law & Order or the National Lampoon's series of movies. In the theatrical world, the equivalent musical might just be Nunsense. This hit musical comedy, with lyrics, book and music by Dan Goggin, has become the second longest running Off-Broadway show in history and has led to a number of sequels and spin-offs. In a nice bit of symmetry, Nunsense is now being presented at one of the area's most successful and longest-running venues, Theatre By the Sea.

The hilarious second chapter in the series of hit musical comedies, Nunsense II: The Second Coming by Dan Goggin, will be the final production of the Bickford Theatre's 2012/2013 season, once again starring Gwendolyn F. Jones as Reverend Mother, with performances tonight, May 31 through Sunday, June 23, 2013.

Patrons who visit the box office in person on May 5 are encouraged to bring their family to enjoy complimentary light snacks and explore the beautiful seaside grounds.

The Muny announced principal casting for the third show of its fantastic 95th Season, Nunsense Muny Style!, directed by Matt Lenz, choreographed by Teri Gibson, and supervised by Dan Goggin.

The Garden Theatre, located at 160 West Plant Street in historic Winter Garden, announces its 2013-2014 Theatre Season, running from September 2013-May 2014. In addition to the five full-length theatrical presentations and the StarLite Film Festival, the season will be dotted with weekend events such as music and dance concerts, as well as movies and holiday offerings, which will be announced in the next few months. The Little Sisters of Hoboken have gone Hollywood in the highly anticipated, latest installment of Dan Goggin's international smash-hit 'Nunsense' franchise: 'Nunset Boulevard: The Nunsense Hollywood Bowl Show,' which arrives at the Gallo Center for the Arts for one performance only tonight, January 25 at 8 pm.

Nunsense, directed by Bob Wright and written by Dan Goggin, will play ShenanArts at the nTelos Theatre, February 8th - 10th & February 15th - 17th.

Dan Goggin's latest installment in the Nunsense series is Nunset Boulevard, which world premiered in 2009. It is a delicious musical ode to old Hollywood. And yes, Norma Desmond does make a brief appearance. Continuing on its first national tour, the show stopped at the Norris Theatre Saturday for two performances. The matinee I attended was close to SRO, and most everyone just ate up the silly humor and 5 infectious characterizations - the Little Sisters of Hoboken - who find themselves stuck, not where they were led to believe at the Hollywood Bowl, but... at at the Hollywood Bowl A-Rama. Low on plot - there's even a song this time to spell it out - it's high on energy and sheer fun, with some great audience participation including real live bowling on a TV game show takeoff The Price Is Righteous.
