Bay Street Players in downtown Eustis presents SISTER AMNESIA'S COUNTRY WESTERN NUNSENSE JAMBOREE, the third musical in the beloved Nunsense series, November 18 through December 11. "This is like revisiting old friends whom you're glad to see haven't changed," says Dan Goggin, writer of the Nunsense musicals. He terms this show "‘Nunsense' meets ‘Hee Haw' at the Grand Ole Opry."

Artistic Director David W. Clevinger is directing the show and has designed and decorated the entrance, lobby and the stage of the theatre into a country western Christmas showcase.

Sister Amnesia (Stephanie Adams) always wanted to be a country singer. In "Nunsense 2" she got a recording contract. In "Nunsense Jamboree" Sister Mary Paul (a. k. a. Sister Amnesia) has her dream realized. She has recorded her first album entitled "I Could've Gone to Nashville." This show features the antics of four nuns and a priest whose 26 musical numbers will have the audience singing and clapping along with the cast.

Plans are made for hitting the road to promote Amnesia's album with Sister Mary Wilhelm (Debbie Sussman) supervising the promotion, along with Father Virgil Trott (Spencer T. Folmar) and Sister Mary Leo (Heather Good). The show also features Sister Robert Anne (Kelly Coy) who completes the cast of five in this fun-filled evening of entertainment.

An excellent band led by Musical Director Beau Mahurin goes along on the tour to accompany such songs as "We Miss You, Patsy Cline" and "Mini-Pearls of Wisdom." Choreographer Tara Whitman has the cast kicking up their heels during toe-tapping musical extravaganzas.

In the spirit of the holiday season, audience members are asked to bring along donations of non-perishable food items to be given to the Hearts and Hands food bank.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening performances begin at 8:00 p.m. Sunday matinee performances begin at 2:00 p.m. Also, there will be a Wednesday performance on November 30 and December 7, at 8:00p.m., and a Saturday matinee performance on November 26 and December 10, at 2:00 p.m. There will be no Saturday evening performance of Nunsense Jamboree on December 10.
