Golden Globe winner and Emmy® nominee Maura Tierney (THE AFFAIR) has joined the cast of the upcoming SHOWTIME drama RUST, starring Emmy winner and Tony® and Golden Globe nominee Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom, Godless, The Looming Tower). In addition, Emmy and Tony nominee Bill Camp (The Night Of), Tony winner David Alvarez (West Side Story), Alex Neustaedter (Colony) and newcomer Julia Mayorga have been cast as series regulars. RUST is scheduled to begin production in Pittsburgh in late March.

SHOWTIME has given a straight-to-series order to the drama RUST, starring Emmy winner and Tony® and Golden Globe® nominee Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom, Godless, The Looming Tower), who will executive produce and reteam with Oscar nominee Dan Futterman (Capote). Futterman will write multiple episodes of the series, which is co-produced with Platform One Media and based on Philipp Meyer's celebrated debut novel American Rust. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.
BBC Two Acquires THE LOOMING TOWER

BBC Two has acquired ten-part series, The Looming Tower, based on Lawrence Wright's Pulitzer Prize-winning non-fiction book about the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda in the late 1990s and how the rivalry between the FBI and CIA during that time may have inadvertently set the path for the tragedy of 9/11.

The first season of HBO's drama THE LEFTOVERS was one of the most divisive 10 episodes in recent television history.
