WP THEATER has announced the 15 artists selected for the 2020-2022 WP Lab. The two-year residency begins now and culminates with the biennial WP Pipeline Festival.

Festival Producers Doug Nevin and Michael Urie, and Festival Director Nick Mayo, in partnership with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, are proud to present Pride Plays 2020. Initially intended as a one-time celebration of Stonewall 50 and theatrical pride, the festival will return in 2020 due to rapturous community response and overwhelming demand. On Thursday, June 27th The Kilroys celebrated the drop of THE LIST 2019 at WP Theater in New York City. The event celebrated the 13 founding members of the organization and the 33 plays featured on THE LIST 2019.

NYU Steinhardt's Program in Drama Therapy presents Turbulence, a production exploring the experiences of Black and People of Color (BPOC) in clinical settings and society at large from April 11-14. This piece of 'performance activism' engages audience members in shared dialogue with the aim of enhancing cultural awareness around BPOC identities and fostering social action.

Five-time Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb (Maria Striar, Producing Artistic Director; Michael Bulger, Associate Artistic Director; Quinn Metal Corbin, Advancement Director) is proud to announce the line-up for SUMMERWORKS, its annual series of new plays. Soho Rep. announces its 2018-2019 season, with two world premieres that demonstrate the small but flexible space's 'indispensible' (New York Magazine) presence as 'a 70-seat house filled with big ideas' (Hilton Als, The New Yorker). Through singular and irreverent stylistic approaches, Kate Tarker's Thunderbodies,directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz (October 16-November 18, 2018), and Christopher Chen's Passage, directed by Saheem Ali (April 23-May 26, 2019),interrogate the staggering ramifications of U.S and global imperialism.

Final casting for Berkeley Repertory Theatre's upcoming production of Fairview was announced today. Written by Jackie Sibblies Drury, directed bySarah Benson, with choreography by Raja Feather Kelly, the world premiere production comes straight to Berkeley Rep from a critically acclaimed New York run. Previews begin on Thursday, October 4 with regular run of the show opening on Thursday, October 11 and continuing through Sunday, November 4. 'A Blanket of Dust' is the story of a modern day Antigone.  The daughter of a U.S. Senator seeks justice for her husband, who has died in the World Trade Center. Her ordeal drives her to the outer fringes of society.  After struggling to establish facts that the government, the media, her family and her countrymen deny, she protests with a harrowing act of sacrificial tragedy.  The play's world premiere will be presented Off-Broadway by Delphi Film from June 6 to 30 at The Flea Theater Mainstage,  20 Thomas Street, directed by Chris Murrah.

The Center for Ballet and the Arts at New York University (CBA), the first international institute devoted to the creation and academic study of ballet, today announced the 27 artists and scholars who will serve as CBA Fellows in the 2018-19 academic year. The group - which represents The Center's largest and most far-reaching cohort yet - features distinguished individuals in a range of disciplines, including scholar Cecile Feza Bushidi, lighting designer Brandon Stirling Baker, choreographer Chase Brock, choreographer, filmmaker, and dancer Pontus Lidberg, and scholar Janice Ross, among others.

SipFest, a new festival showcasing some of the coolest women theatremakers, has announced a lineup of multimedia works at different levels of development for an impromptu Wild Project takeover running March 7-14th.

Loading Dock Theatre has announced the 6 artists and projects in residence as part of the second season of Forklift. The 2018 reading series' lineup will build on the success of Forklift's first season in 2017, and will feature artists inspired by drag, music, current events, and multimedia, in a celebration of new work.

The Catastrophic Theatre continues its 2017-2018 season with the rolling world premiere of Leap and the Net Will Appear by Chana Porter, who two-time Obie Award-winning playwright and director Craig Lucas has called 'the most original and funny and touching and interesting young playwright out there at this moment.' The production will be directed by Porter's collaborator, NYC director Tara Ahmadinejad, and features original music by composer Andrew Lynch.

Dixon Place (Ellie Covan, Founder and Artistic Director) is pleased to present Toe Pick, an entirely transcribed play by Zackary Grady, for three weeks in February, running concurrently with the 2018 Winter Olympics. Toe Pick, which relives the 1994 icecapades of Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding, opens Friday, February 9, and runs Fridays and Saturdays through February 24 at Dixon Place, 161A Chrystie Street (between Rivington and Delancey Streets). William Burke wrote a monologue. 20 performers are doing it their way while they respectfully dismantle and rearrange and rejuvenate the American flag with scissors, moxie and glue while explaining the unifying and important factors of their favorite beverages.
