On The Town choreographer Joshua Bergasse choreographed a performance of the show's iconic opening number, 'New York, New York,' featuring the Top 20 finalists.

We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate today than joining the cast of On The Town to celebrate Independence Day at Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest with a special performance. On The Town stars Clyde Alves, Jay Armstrong Johnson, and Tony Yazbeck performed the famous opening number 'New York, New York', posed with fans (and hot dogs) and more...

ON THE TOWN, the musical comedy love letter to New York City, is set to begin previews on Saturday, September 20, 2014 and officially open on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Broadway's Lyric Theatre (213 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036). The show's star trio Tony Yazbeck, Jay Armstrong Johnson and Clyde Alves has disembarked in New York City and took to the streets today in uniform -- check out photos (via Instagram) of their tour of the city below!

The producers of ON THE TOWN announced today that Megan Fairchild(New York City Ballet Principal Dancer), Alysha Umphress (American Idiot) and Elizabeth Stanley (Company) will join the critically-acclaimed Broadway revival of ON THE TOWN, directed by John Rando (Tony Award® for Urinetown) and choreographed by Joshua Bergasse (Emmy Award winner for 'Smash'). Fairchild, a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, will make her Broadway debut playing 'Ivy Smith'. Umphress will play 'Hildy' and Stanley will play 'Claire', both reprising their performances from last summer's acclaimed Barrington Stage production.

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was presented yesterday, May 21st in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District celebrated Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a live 12-piece orchestra. Today's big news: The 2014 Outer Critics Circle Awards are tonight, Susan Stroman is the guest of honor at this year's New Dramatists spring luncheon, and A LITTLE PRINCESS, AMERICAN HERO, A FABLE and THE VILLAGE BIKE all begin off-Broadway!

BWW was on the scene to capture the excitement, including an appearance and brief performance preview from the sailors of the upcoming Broadway revival of ON THE TOWN, Tony Yazbeck, Jay Armstrong Johnson and Clyde Alves!

Tony Yazbeck (Gypsy, A Chorus Line), Jay Armstrong Johnson (New York Philharmonic's Sweeney Todd, Hands On A Hardbody, Hair), and Clyde Alves (Bullets Over Broadway, Nice Work If You Can Get It) will play the roles of 'Gabey,' 'Chip,' and 'Ozzie' - the sailors on 24-hour shore leave who take on the Big Apple in the critically-acclaimed Broadway revival of ON THE TOWN, directed by John Rando (Tony Award for Urinetown) and choreographed by Joshua Bergasse (Emmy Award winner for 'Smash'). Yazbeck, Johnson, and Alves will reprise their performances from last summer's acclaimed Barrington Stage production. Yazbeck first thrilled audiences with his portrayal of 'Gabey' in John Rando's presentation of ON THE TOWN at City Center Encores in 2008.

Producers Letty Aronson and Julian Schlossberg today announced a General Rush policy for preview performances of BULLETS OVER BROADWAY. For each preview, a limited number of orchestra Rush tickets will be available each morning when the box office opens at 10 AM. Rush tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis for $37 each, with a limit of two tickets per person.

Producers Letty Aronson and Julian Schlossberg have just announced that Tony Award® winner Karen Ziemba (Contact, Curtains, Steel Pier) will play the role of "Eden Brent" in the world premiere production of the brand new musical comedy BULLETS OVER BROADWAY, with Preston Truman Boyd, Bryn Dowling, Kelcy Griffin, Dan Horn, Synthia Link and Kevin Worley rounding out the complete Broadway cast of 29.
