Jim Caruso's Cast Party, 'Birdland's star-studded, 'extreme' open mic/variety show' continues to dazzle packed houses at Birdland (315 West 44 Street, NYC) every Monday night starting at 9:30pm.

It took this year's two time Grammy Nominee Clint Holmes about 10 seconds of music to change the mood of the Jazz at Lincoln Center audience from disappointment to excitement as he moved from being the featured guest vocalist to becoming the host of Michael Feinstein's Jazz & Popular Song series in the Appel Room.

One day the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. will probably ask for Jim Caruso's lists of entertainers that have appeared on his Cast Party Stage at Birdland.

Gabrielle Stravelli and Billy Stritch are delighted to make their first appearance together at The RRazz Room New Hope in 'Down For Double'. The pair met at the BirdlandJazz Club Cast Party in 2012 and have since collaborated on two shows at the 92nd Street Y, headlined a concert with the Santa Rosa Symphony and spent many spontaneous Monday evenings making music together in the 'jazz capital of the world'. For 'Down for Double' Stravelli and Stritch have mined the Great American Songbook for beloved classics like 'I Wish I Were in Love Again' and 'Goody Goody' and more than a few lesser-known gems. The show features the pair's seamless vocal blend, tight harmonies, scat singing and playful banter and promises to be an unforgettable musical evening.

The stirring original song co-written by Anthony Nunziata is titled The Gift Is You , however the real Gift to anyone who gets turned on by a world class entertainment experience are Will & Anthony. Their cabaret act at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach had the kind of thrilling effect on the packed Royal Room audience that brought back memories of what it was like when the great acts in the golden age of nightclubs charged onto the stage of The Copacabana or Persian Room in New York City.

Following the successful inaugural launch last season that featured several sold-out performances, the popular intimate nightclub, The Sorting Room, kicks off tonight at The Wallis with two intimate evening concerts featuring acclaimed Tony Award-winning composer and lyricist Jason Robert Brown performing an eclectic mix of both classic and new music. The Sorting Room temporarily transforms the Lovelace Studio Theater into a 140-seat custom built nightclub space that offers Los Angeles audiences a rare opportunity to experience some of the best and emerging talent in cabaret, live contemporary music, spoken word, and more. This season, The Sorting Room returns to The Wallis delivering two sessions of live performances in winter from December 7 21, 2017 and summer from June 22 July 29, 2018. As the son of an opera singer and a jazz musician, Holmes grew up singing and acting all throughout his childhood, playing in rock bands in high school and studying music in college. Even after joining the army, Holmes sang for a military chorus during his service. In 1972, Holmes released his breakthrough hit Playground in My Mind, which reached No. 2 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, selling more than one million copies.
