Urban Stages, in association with producer/director/lyricist and Director of Musical Programming Peter Napolitano, is proud to announce that cabaret legend Marilyn Maye will kick off the Holiday Season for WINTER RHYTHMS 2014 on Thursday, December 4 at 7PM only with a special appearance in Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas: The Songs of Hugh Martin, a centennial celebration of the Hollywood and Broadway songwriter best known for Meet Me in St. Louis and Best Foot Forward. Marilyn Maye joins Eric Comstock, Barbara Fasano, Minda Larsen, Marissa Mulder, Sigali, Melissa Ritz, Molly Ryan, Dan Levinson, Deborah Silver, Gabrielle Stravelli and the vocal group Duchess in an evening conceived and hosted by Wall Street Journal columnist Will Friedwald. Musical Director for the evening will be Tedd Firth.

In celebration of the 58th anniversary of the infamous night that inspired the smash-hit production MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, renowned musician Clint Holmes will take the stage for a special encore performance alongside the cast tonight, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. in the Harrah's Las Vegas Showroom. For one-night-only, Holmes will perform Elvis Presley's 'All Shook Up' alongside the MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET cast during the finale. t may not be like getting a gift on each of the 12 Days of Christmas, but for cabaret and musical theater lovers, the 6th Annual Urban Stages Winter Rhythms series--presented over a dozen nights at the not-for-profit Off-Broadway theatre on 259 West 30th Street--could be the closest thing to opening a daily present by the tree. From December 2-14 (no shows on Dec. 9), more than 100 singers, musicians, and songwriters will perform in an eclectic mix of 20 shows including one-night-only group shows, excerpts from new musicals, solo shows, open mics, late night spotlights, and family matinees, with all the proceeds from ticket sales dedicated to the Urban Stages On Tour Outreach Program that brings more than 200 free multicultural theater and music programs to elementary and middle school age children and their families in libraries and schools throughout NYC five boroughs.

The day is finally here! After one month of voting on preliminary nominees in 17 categories, the results of more than 5,000 ballots were considered along with the selections of BroadwayWorld's cabaret section editors to determine the final nominees for the 2014 BroadwayWorld.com New York Cabaret Awards. Joining cabaret icon Marilyn Maye with four nominations is budding star Carole J. Bufford, who made the final ballot for two different shows during 2014 and as 'Best Female Vocalist' and 'Performer of the Year.' Among Maye's nominations were 'Performer of the Year,' two shows in the 'Best Celebrity Show' category, and a 'Best Director' nomination for her work with jazz singer Gabrielle Stravelli (who received two nominations). In addition to her usual nod for 'Best Jazz Vocalist,' jazz star Jane Monheit received two other nominations as 'Performer of the Year,' and as 'Best Host' for her new variety show at Birdland, Jane Monheit's Jazz Party (Monheit also co-starred with Clint Holmes in another nominated show, Frank Wildhorn and Friends in the 'Best Revue' category.) Eric Michael Gillett also earned three nominations for 'Best Show, Male,' 'Best Male Vocalist,' and 'Best Director.'

Sam's Town Live! will bring together a bevy of local performers including magicians, singers and more to benefit Life Long Dreams, a local performance and visual arts non-profit organization that helps children and young adults with disabilities learn to express themselves and their dreams through arts tonight, November 22.

The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts presents, the 2014-2015 JAZZ ROOTS: A Larry Rosen Jazz Series, kicks off with a spectacular concert celebrating the musical genius of RAY CHARLES. An Orlando-based Gospel choir will perform in the one night only show, and 91 students and their teachers from West Orange High School will be involved in a pre-show educational experience.

The 4th Annual NF Hope Benefit Concert was recently held in Las Vegas. The success of the event can be seen in the numbers. Over $82,000 was raised at this year's event.

Performers from the Las Vegas Strip and beyond came together on Sunday, Oct. 19 at The Sands Showroom at The Venetian Las Vegas for one special mission - to raise awareness and funds for the disorder known as Neurofibromatosis (NF) for the Fourth Annual NF Hope Concert. Spearheaded by JERSEY BOYS star, Jeff Leibow, the afternoon affair included performances by noteworthy entertainers, including Veronic, Clint Holmes, American Idol finalist Jasmine Trias, Ben Stone, Kristen Hertzenberg, stars of Jersey Boys, Cast of Million Dollar Quartet and the Cast of Rock of Ages.

It seems that these days everybody has Georgia on their minds. In fact, those lucky enough to be named 'Georgia' have a treat waiting for them at The Venetian Las Vegas box office.

In an extraordinary show of Nevada pride and camaraderie, the artists, entertainers and celebrities who call the Silver State home came together last night at The Smith Center to celebrate the Nevada Sesquicentennial with a star-studded concert before a sold-out crowd, which included Nevada Gov. Broadway In The Hood brought down the house during the Nevada Sesquicentennial Celebration at The Smith Center on Monday night, September 22 in Las Vegas. With performances by Jerry Lewis, Susan Anton, Human Nature, Cirque Du Soleil, Clint Holmes, the cast of Jersey Boys, and even 'Mr. Las Vegas' Wayne Newton himself, could not outshine their performance of 'Brand New Day' from the hit Broadway Musical 'The Wiz'. GEORGIA ON MY MIND: Celebrating the Music of Ray Charles was welcomed by The Venetian Las Vegas with a star-studded event coinciding with the birthday of Ray Charles. The groundbreaking new show features a host of esteemed stars including Emmy award-winner Clint Holmes, 10-time GRAMMY award-winning vocal group TAKE 6, six-time GRAMMY nominee and DownBeat artist of the year Nnenna Freelon, and Stella Gospel Award and GRAMMY award-winning saxophone star Kirk Whalum. The show also features the Las Vegas Mass Choir, under the direction of James R. Over the past few years, Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch have been taking Cast Party, their 'extreme' open mic, all over the country. This past week, they took the Party to Las Vegas for the sixth time. The venue, once again, was the glorious Smith Center, a half-billion dollar performing arts center that has become a vital force in the Las Vegas musical and theatrical community.
