The Sol Project, the new theater initiative dedicated to amplifying Latinx voices and building a kaleidoscopic body of work for the new American theater, is proud to announce the expansion of its mission with its first national partnership.

Yale Rep Announces 2018-19 Season

YALE REPERTORY THEATRE (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director), the multiple Tony Award-winning theatre dedicated to the production of new plays and bold interpretations of classic works, has announced its 2018-19 Season.

The Sol Project's OEDIPUS EL REY Opens Tonight at The Public Theater

The Public Theater presents the New York premiere of the electrifying play, OEDIPUS EL REY in collaboration with The Sol Project as part of The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work at 425 Lafayette Street and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR. Written by Luis Alfaro and directed by Chay Yew, the show has been previously extended two weeks through Sunday, December 3, with an official press opening tonight, October 24.

The New York premiere of Martin Zimmerman's Seven Spots On The Sun, directed by Weyni Mengesha, presented by Rattlestick Playwrights Theater in collaboration with The Sol Project, celebrated its opening night on May 10. Attendees included Ethan Lipton, Leigh Silverman and Keith Randolph Smith. Hilary Bettis & Sheila Callaghan World Premieres Set for New Georges' 25th Anniversary Season

In its 25-year history, New Georges has brought forth an unprecedented generation of women playwrights and directors, providing them with steady artistic support and first or career-transforming productions in New York City. New Georges will celebrate its anniversary season with the World Premiere of Hilary Bettis' Alligator, directed by Elena Araoz, presented in collaboration with The Sol Project this fall, and of Sheila Callaghan and Daniella Topol's collaboratively-created Water at 3LD Art & Technology Center in June of 2017 as part of Water City, a multi-disciplinary art event. 

David Davila's MEN OF GOD Staged Reading Set for Tonight

David Davila's play MEN OF GOD will receive a staged reading for Lone Star Theatre Co's 2014/2015 'Texas Reads' series. The reading will be held tonight, Oct 10 and will be the second play by Davila to be read for 'Texas Reads.'

Lone Star Theatre Co to Stage Reading of Wendy Davis's THE CAPITOL PLAYS, 5/19

On Monday, May 19th, Lone Star Theatre Co will present a staged reading of THE CAPITOL PLAYS, five plays inspired by Wendy Davis and the crazy day and night she spent defending women's rights in Austin, TX. The plays -- by Raquel Almazan, Mando Alvarado, David Davila and Lindsay Hicks -- depict different events (true or fictional) that could all take place at the Texas Capitol.
