Last summer, BroadwayWorld reported that The National Theatre's 'documentary-style' musical LONDON ROAD would be made into a feature film, with screenplay by playwright and book writer Alecky Blythe and director Rufus Norris. Composer Adam Cork adapted the score.

Major cast changes will take place in the smash hit Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA" at Her Majesty's Theatre in the West End from Monday 2 September 2013. Fresh from his success as Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables" at the Queen's Theatre Geronimo Rauch will join the cast as 'The Phantom'. At the same time Broadway leading man Sean Palmer will join as 'Raoul'. They will be joined by Andy Hockley as 'Monsieur Firmin', Martin Ball as 'Monsieur Andre', Claire Moore as 'Carlotta', Jacinta Mulcahy as 'Madame Giry', Cat Lane as 'Meg Giry' and Olivia Brereton and Harriet Jones who will both play 'Christine' at certain performances.

On May 14, 2012 independent label SimG Records is set to release the Original Cast Recording of A Song Cycle For Soho, a project created for Mercury Musical Developments members to practice their song writing skills, followed by a showcase presented at Soho Theatre during Feb/March 2012.
Danielle Hope to Judge Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year Competition

The twelve finalists for this year's Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year Competition will be judged by Danielle Hope (Dorothy in Wizard of Oz and soon to be in the film of Les Miserables), Michael McCabe (Producer, Wicked), David Shrubsole (Conductor, London Road) and Laurie Sansom (Artistic Director, Derngate Theatre, Northampton). The chairman of the judges will be Edward Seckerson, Chief Classical Music and Opera Critic for The Independent and the prize will be awarded by Julia McKenzie and a representative of Overtures: The Bunnett-Muir Musical Theatre Archive Trust, sponsors of the SSSSSPOTY first prize. The event is being hosted by Claire Moore (London Road/Miss Saigon) and takes place at 3pm on Sunday 27 May at the Queen's Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London.
