CYRANO, Starring Peter Dinklage, Begins Run at Goodspeed Musicals

Casting of Goodspeed Musicals' Cyrano is complete. Film and TV actor Blake Jenner will play Christian. He joins previously announced Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Peter Dinklage, who will play Cyrano alongside film actress Haley Bennett as Roxanne in this bold new musical.

Works & Process, The Performing-Arts Series At The Guggenheim, Announces Fall 2018 Season

Works & Process at the Guggenheim is pleased to announce its fall 2018 season, which includes new dance and music commissions, and a gala featuring a revival performance of a Works & Process Rotunda Project in the Guggenheim's iconic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed space. Since 1984 the performing-arts series has championed new works and offered audiences unprecedented access to leading choreographers, composers, dancers, musicians, and playwrights, among others. Programs explore the creative process through stimulating discussions with artists and riveting performance highlights. Each 70-minute program takes place in the museum's Peter B. Centenary Stage Company Offers A Variety Of Educational Opportunities To The General Public

Centenary Stage Company, the not for profit professionally producing Equity Theatre in residency on the campus of Centenary University will be holding a variety of educational opportunities during the fall of 2018. Continuing its tradition of cultivating a vibrant arts community, Centenary Stage Company will be offer the fall Conservatory of Dance, as well as, the Adult Acting Workshop. Both programs are open to the public with registration deadlines of August 24, 2018.

Mariinsky Ballet's Kimin Kim To Star In SONG OF THE MERMAID

K'Arts Ballet of Korea will present the American premiere of Song of the Mermaid, a fantasy ballet choreographed by SunHee Kim, running October 20 and 21 at New York City Center. Song of the Mermaid, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's beloved tale “The Little Mermaid,” will star Kimin Kim, principal dancer of Mariinsky Ballet, and feature 40 dancers and an original score composed by Hana Ryou.

Mr. Ailey became one of the groundbreaking greats in African American history, while the work of his Company grew beyond the limits of the stage to encompass education at all levels, community outreach and cultural diplomacy. BMI Stage Lineup Announced for Day 3 of Lollapalooza

The third day of the BMI Stage at Lollapalooza gets underway with GRAMMY Award-winner Grace Weber, a go-to collaborator of Chance the Rapper and Kanye West. Soul standout DAVIE, who has been praised for embodying the passion and vitality of the genre, hits the stage next, followed by the female fronted rock'n'roll duo BONES (UK) and the infectious beats of fast rising electronic producer Melvv. Introspective alt-pop singer/songwriter morgxn promises to bring his trademark lyrical authenticity to the stage before Australian songstress Vera Blue closes out the day with her blend of folk/pop and moody electronica.

Lookingglass Theatre Company Announces The Second Extension Of 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEAS

Lookingglass Theatre Company announces an extension of 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas adapted by David Kersnar and Althos Low, from the books by Jules Verne, directed by Ensemble Member David Kersnar. Due to high ticket demand, additional dates, August 30 - September 9, 2018, have been added. 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas plays at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. This marks the second and final extension of the production.

BWW Review: Celebrating the Revival of DON'T BOTHER ME, I CAN'T COPE

July 25-28, 2018 featured the vibrant and radical revival of Micki Grant and Vinnette Carroll's Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope at the New York City Center as part of their 2018 Encores! Off Center series. The Grammy Award-winning and Tony-nominated musical is a celebration of African American culture and community that highlighted the issues of race politics in America through a lively mix of song and dance- with a score that features various music genres including jazz, soul, gospel, calypso, and rock. This particular production was directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winning tap dancer Savion Glover with musical arrangements by Annastasia Victory.

WPPAC Stage 2 Announces ASL Interpreted Performance of CABARET

Stage 2 at the White Plains Performing Arts Center is pleased to announce that the August 11 performance of the musical, CABARET, will be ASL Interpreted. Two interpreters will translate the musical's spoken words into American Sign Language.
