With their 13th album ANCIENT LAND out now, multi-platinum international music sensation CELTIC WOMAN will wrap up 2018 with a PBS special and their annual holiday tour in support of the new release. They'll continue into the new year with a full North American tour set for 2019 (dates below). ANCIENT LAND entered the Billboard World Albums Chart at #6, making CELTIC WOMAN the only European act in the Top Ten of this chart (eight are from Asia, with the remaining group from Australia).
Ghostlight Records has announced the release of Lerner & Loewe's Brigadoon - New York City Center 2017 Cast Recording in physical, digital and streaming formats on Friday, December 7. Brigadoon has book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. Released to celebrate both the 70th anniversary of the original production of the show and the Alan Jay Lerner Centennial, the recording is based on the New York City Center Annual Gala Production, which was directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, with Jack Viertel serving as artistic advisor. In conjunction with the landmark 75th anniversary season of the New York City Center, the performances of Balanchine: The City Center Years honor George Balanchine, one of the greatest choreographers of American 20th century ballet. Mr. Balanchine is most widely known for co-founding the New York City Ballet with Lincoln Kirsten in 1948, at the City Center. It was there he developed some of his most iconic ballets that have made an impact in dance across the globe. In an unprecedented international tribute, the series featured some of the world's greatest ballet companies- all accompanied by the New York City Ballet Orchestra. Sunday, November 4th closed the celebration with performances by The Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Paris Opera Ballet, and The Mariinksy Ballet.

As part of the Martha Graham Dance Company's popular Studio Series, Graham 2 will perform Martha Graham's beloved masterwork Appalachian Spring (1944). One of Graham's most celebrated works, Appalachian Spring has been called "shining and joyous" and "a testimony to the simple fineness of the human spirit" (The New York Times). The work features Aaron Copland's Pulitzer Prize-winning score and a spare set by Graham's longtime collaborator Isamu Noguchi. Performances are Saturday, December 8, at 1pm (family matinee) with an evening performance at 6pm, and Sunday, December 9, at 2pm. On Saturday evening, the score will be performed live by the International Chamber Orchestra of America directed by Daniel Feng.
