With a cumulative 130 years in the music business, The Hambones - John Kouri (Ringmaster General, lead vocalist & harmonica), Scott Milch (drums, vocals), John Pizzacarola (guitar, vocals), and Steve Soltow (bass, vocals) - perform a retrospective of what is arguably Bob Dylan's greatest album, "Blood on the Tracks", in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of its release and also Dylan's 75th birthday.

First appearing at Boston clubs in the early '70s, the Real Kids would eventually become a local institution by 1977, but a lack of real sales would lead to a breakup, a re-formation, and a more complete breakup -- all within six years.

Theatre By the Sea (TBTS) in Wakefield, RI (I would have thought Matunuck) opens its season with a rousing version of BUDDY-THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, a jukebox musical in two acts with a book written by Alan Janes, and music and lyrics by a variety of songwriters, mostly of course, Buddy Holly. Based on the life and career of the early rock and roller, the musical hews more closely to Holly's actual life story than the 1978 film version, which starred Gary Busey, and follows Holly from his struggles to escape country music and establish himself as a rocker, to his untimely death in a plane crash in 1959.

Rave On: The Buddy Holly Experience will run the Howard Drew Theatre at the Omaha Community Playhouse June 10-26, 2016.
