The Rural Route Film Festival, celebrating its tenth anniversary, returns to Museum of the Moving Image from today, August 8 through 10, 2014, with its showcase of international films that take the road less traveled, transporting viewers to places far outside of the city.

In July, Double Dragon Publishing released six new titles in the genres of thrillers and fantasies. They are:

These releases introduced both established authors and newcomers to Double Dragon readers.
"End of an Era
by Christopher Lee Buckner is the first entry in a new science fiction series, Conquest of Heroes, which was originally developed as an online role-playing game.
"Dillinger's Deception" by Ronald K. Myers is this author's second novel published by Double Dragon Publishing.
J. Richard Jacobs has compiled all of the Twisted Tails anthologies. This latest will be Number VIII, featuring "some of the weirdest creatures ever to grace a page."
Kyra Dune is a veteran writer for the publishing house, offering another fantasy, "The Black Mountain."
Double Dragon welcomes new author Mark Degasperi with his thriller "The Lazarus Experiment."

Cone Composition Institute, a multi-faceted program that promotes new music and emerging composers. The Institute is a collaboration between the NJSO and the Princeton University Department of Music and is generously funded in part by the Edward T. Cone Foundation.

CABARET to Air on Reel 13 this Month

With Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams currently starring in the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of 'Cabaret' on the Great White Way, Reel 13 broadcasts Bob Fosse's Oscar-winning movie version. The legendary Broadway director and choreographer brought him and star Liza Minnelli Academy Awards. In fact, the 1972 film still holds the record for most Oscar wins in a single year without winning the 'Best Picture' category, copping eight in all. (The Godfather received that prize.)

Sundance Institute announced today the films and installations to be featured in the 2014 edition of New Frontier at the Sundance Film Festival, including the U.S. premiere of The Source (evolving) by renowned artist Doug Aitken and a 3D projection-mapping project by Klip Collective. The Festival takes place January 16-26 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.
