BWW Review: CABARET presented by The BroadHollow Theatre Company
by Melissa Giordano - May 3, 2018

Between college productions and the many local theatres we have, it may seem there is always a production of the Kander and Ebb Tony winning classic Cabaret running. However, when you have a wonderful production like the one at BayWay Arts Centre, it indeed warrants another look. Excellently directed by Marion Waller, this superb incarnation, presented by the BroadHollow Theatre Company, runs at the Long Island venue through May 12th boasting a stellar cast

One could possibly say that a production of the Kander and Ebb Tony winning classic Cabaret is a dime a dozen. However, when you have a fascinating production like the one at Merrick Theatre & Center For The Arts, it indeed warrants another look. Excellently directed by Daniel C. Higgins, this superb incarnation runs at the Long Island venue through May 20th boasting a stellar cast.

BWW Review: Moonbox Productions' CABARET Sizzles and Dazzles
by Nancy Grossman - Apr 19, 2018

CABARET has stood the test of time and Moonbox Productions puts a time stamp on the 1966 musical that brings it into the here and now. Director/choreographer Rachel Bertone and Music Director Dan Rodriguez whip a kick-ass kick line of high steppers into a precision machine to evoke the seedy Kit Kat Klub, and triple threat performers Aimee Doherty, Phil Tayler, and Jared Troilo lead an outstanding cast.

BWW Review: CABARET Continues to Captivate On Opening Night at Nashville's TPAC
by Jeffrey Ellis - Feb 28, 2018

One thing becomes abundantly clear while witnessing Bailey McCall Thomas' emotionally charged performance of the song 'Cabaret' during a performance of the iconic Broadway musical of the same name: there is perhaps no 'title song' quite so evocative, quite so stunning as John Kander and Fred Ebb's composition for Cabaret. For it is during that song, performed by Sally Bowles in a Weimar era nightclub in Berlin, that the show's entire focus - every theme that shapes the work in order to tell its totally engrossing and entertaining story - is brought sharply into view, set to a memorable melody that seems at once to be both joyous and mournful, ensuring that every audience member experiences a response unique to them.

The production leaves you breathless with a wagon train of thoughts and emotions to process. I was entertained and at the same time shaken. This show acts as a bridge to the raw emotions of those struggling toward acceptance.
