FX has announced the complete cast for its new limited series, featuring stage talents Denise Gough, Sam Worthington, and the previously announced Andrew Garfield. The series recently began production in Calgary.

Actor Gene Silvers (Them, Law & Order, Dead Women Walking) has a lead guest star role in the Rupert Wyatt-directed The Mosquito Coast, starring Justin Theroux.

The Cinema Society hosted a special screening tonight of Disney+'s “Togo”—the untold true story that takes you across the treacherous terrain of the Alaskan tundra for an exhilarating and uplifting adventure that tests the strength, courage and determination of one man and his lead sled dog, Togo. Attending the screening were Willem Dafoe, who portrays Leonhard Seppala in the film, and Julianne Nicholson, who plays Seppala's wife Constance. Also in attendance were director Ericson Core, producer Kim Zubick and writer Tom Flynn, as well as celebrity guests. “Togo” premieres on Dec. 20, 2019, streaming only on Disney+.

Disney+ has released the first trailer for its upcoming film Togo. This afternoon, Disney+ made its D23 Expo debut with its first-ever showcase presentation, announcing six new series in development and revealing key details about the highly anticipated streaming service to an enthusiastic audience at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim. The event showcased the sweeping array of talent with in-person and video appearances from the stars of Disney+'s slate of originals from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic and included sneak peeks, trailer premieres, and exclusive news about the service and its upcoming projects. Actress Yvette Nicole Brown, who stars in the Disney+ original film “Lady and the Tramp,” hosted the lively presentation, welcoming Kevin Mayer, chairman, Direct-to-Consumer & International, to the stage to kick off the show.

Last night, Fandom hosted its 4th annual Fandom Party at San Diego Comic-Con in partnership with Cirque du Soleil.  An A-list collection of celebrities, media, and fans converged on the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego for a night of food, drinks, and music, culminating in a special one-night-only preview performance of R.U.N by Cirque du Soleil.  

Nomadic Pictures and Dynamic Television announced today that Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica), Richard Harmon (The 100), Nicole Munoz (Defiance), Keeya King (Jigsaw) and pro-wrestler Big Show (WWE/SmackDown) have joined the cast of SYFY's action-horror series Van Helsing. Helfer will play Dracula while the other new characters will be unveiled throughout the new season. Currently in production, the 13-episode drama returns for its fourth season this fall.

SYFY renewed action-horror series Van Helsing today for a third season. The hour-long drama will wrap its Season 2 run on Thursday, January 4 9/8c and return next fall with 13 all new episodes. Production on the new season is expected to begin in February 2018.
