Fringe Favourites Come To Seven Dials Playhouse In February

Seven Dials Playhouse has unveiled a slate of five shows for spring 2024. With a focus on presenting  stories from often marginalised communities, highlights include critically acclaimed transfers from  international festivals and the arrival of the world's longest-running live comedy show, NewsRevue. 

Eddie Redmayne to Star In THE DAY OF THE JACKAL Series on Peacock

Academy, Tony and BAFTA award winning actor Eddie Redmayne (The Good Nurse, Trial of The Chicago Seven and The Theory of Everything) will star in the new original television series The Day of the Jackal in the lead role of the Jackal. Redmayne will also serve as executive producer on the project.

THE DAY OF THE JACKAL Series Ordered at Peacock

The series is inspired by Frederick Forsyth’s seminal thriller The Day of The Jackal and the award-winning 1973 film adaptation from Universal Pictures. The new series is a reimagining of the novel and film. The series will be written & showrun by Ronan Bennett (Top Boy, Public Enemies) and Brian Kirk (Game of Thrones, Luther) is set to direct.

Lyric Unlimited Presents CHICAGO VOICES VIEW, Featuring Three Chicago Musicians

Through the dynamic Chicago Voices initiative, Lyric Unlimited is partnering with graduate students from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to present Chicago Voices VIEW, an iconic photographic exhibition that opens December 2in three Chicago neighborhoods across the city. 

THE 39TH FESTIVAL DE LANAUDIÈRE – TIME TO TAKE STOCK! July 9 and August 7

For its 39th season, le Festival de Lanaudiere invited music lovers to discover some of the works that its founder, Father Fernand Lindsay, liked to hear and teach. Between July 9 and August 7, 2016, fourteen concerts were presented at the Amphitheatre Fernand-Lindsay, eight in churches throughout the region, and two at the Musee d'art de Joliette. In addition, there were four cinema evenings and five morning yoga sessions held outdoors. Nearly 53,000 people attended Festival events - a significant increase over the figure for 2015.

39th Season of LE FESTIVAL DE LANAUDIÈRE: 4th Week of Concerts

NEW SOUNDS AWAIT YOU! To kick off this fourth week of concerts, we invite you to a world of unconventional sounds. On Thursday, July 28, at8 p.m., the Akousma Festival will be back at the Musee d'art de Joliette with guest artists Pipo Pierre-Louis, Line Katcho, and Myriam Bleau to continue their exploration of various kinds of electroacoustic music. The following evening, Friday, July 29 at 8 p.m. at the Amphitheatre Fernand-Lindsay, will see the unusual string ensemblecollectif9 presenting classical music with the charisma of a rock group on a stage decked out with sets and lighting.
