Stars including Chita Rivera, Liza Minnelli, Mario Cantone, Kristin Chenoweth, Jason Danieley, Norm Lewis, Debra Monk, Julia Murney, Karen Ziemba, Heidi Blickenstaff celebrated all things Kander and Ebb last night at the Vineyard Theatre's Annual Gala yesterday evening, March 8. Lead by Tony Award-winning host David Hyde Pierce (Kander & Ebb's CURTAINS), the crowd paid tribute to the work of Kander and his late collaborator Fred Ebb.

Marion Oliver McCaw Hall at Seattle Center and Benaroya Hall have led a local effort to host the 18th annual International Association of Assembly Managers - Performing Arts Managers Conference (IAAM-PAMC), March 6 - 9, at The Grand Hyatt, Benaroya Hall and McCaw Hall.
The IAAM, a 80-year old non-profit professional association for managers of public assembly facilities, including stadiums, arenas, convention centers and performing arts centers, provides a variety of professional development resources to the field, including educational seminars, publications, training and conferencesand this annual four-day conference for performing arts center managers that draws over 250 attendees from the United Statesand Canada.

The Tony Award-winning actor BILLY CRUDUP will star in the world-premiere of Adam Rapp's play THE METAL CHILDREN, which begins previews May 4 prior to opening May 19, 2010 at the Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.), it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, Artistic Director of the Vineyard. Directed by Adam Rapp, additional casting for the play is to be announced.

THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS, the highly anticipated new Kander and Ebb musical now in previews at the Vineyard Theatre, may be preparing itself for a Broadway transfer as early as this season, pending the availability of a theater. Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that heavy-hitting producers Fran and Barry Weissler have invested $400,000 into THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS, and writes that 'If the reviews are strong, they'll move it to a small Broadway house, very possibly before this year's Tony cutoff date, should a theater become available.'

Last night, Sunday, February 21, Paper Mill Playhouse opened their production of Lost in Yonkers. Directed by Michael Bloom, Lost in Yonkers will run at the Millburn theater through March 14, 2010. Lost in Yonkers was selected by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts as part of the American Masterpieces Series in New Jersey. American Masterpieces is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts.
