NBC Sports' live coverage of the skate vert finals airs Saturday and taped coverage of the skate park finals airs Sunday, at 4-6 p.m. ET both days.

Christiane Noll (Ragtime), Kerry Butler (Rock of Ages, Xanadu), Hunter Foster (Million Dollar Quartet), Nick Spangler (The Fantasticks, Winner: 'The Amazing Race') Alex Brightman (WICKED), Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening), Jamie LaVerdiere (The Producers), Leo Ash Evens (West Side Story 50th Anniversary Tour), and Brian Gonzales (Shrek) have joined the cast of the New York Musical Theater Festival (NYMF) kickoff to the 7th season: BEST OF FEST, a gala celebration to toast the achievements of the Festival's alumni.

Previews will begin today at Virginia's Signature Theatre for the world premiere musical Sycamore Trees written by Ricky Ian Gordon, the award-winning composer of the opera The Grapes of Wrath and the musicals Dream True and My Life with Albertine. A starry Broadway cast portrays Gordon's own family story - complete with a tough Bronx-born father and former 'Borscht Belt' singer/comedian mother - in a tale of two generations' struggles and triumphs in the decades from World War II through the 1990s.

The Hartt School alumnus Steve French, a 2003 graduate of Hartt's Actor Training program, joins the acclaimed cast and creative team of the New York City premiere of the new musical The Burnt Part Boy, a co-production between Playwrights Horizons and Vineyard Theatre. The performance runs from April 30 through June 13.

Signature Theatre, the current recipient of the Tony Award® for Regional Theatre, presents the world premiere musical Sycamore Trees by Ricky Ian Gordon, composer of the acclaimed opera The Grapes of Wrath and the OBIE Award-winning Orpheus and Euridice, as well as the musicals My Life with Albertine and Dream True.

Playwrights Horizons and Vineyard Theatre are presenting the New York premiere of the new musical THE BURNT PART BOYS. With a book by Mariana Elder, music by Chris Miller, lyrics by Nathan Tysen and direction and musical staging by four-time Helen Hayes Award winner Joe Calarco (Shakespeare's R&J), the joint production opened on Tuesday, May 25 at 7PM. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, June 13 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theatre (416 West 42nd Street).

The DIARY 21 PROJECT - an Arts-In-Education collaboration of Vineyard Theatre, Young Playwrights Inc., and The Anne Frank Center USA designed to teach students literacy and tolerance through the arts, using Anne Frank's diary and legacy as inspiration - presents the benefit performance ARE WE WRITING LOUD ENOUGH? featuring selections from new plays by students of Washington Irving High School and Lab School for Collaborative Studies and performed by the Vineyard Theatre Student Company, on Monday, May 24 at 7:00pm at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) in Manhattan.
