Sony Masterworks Broadway today releases the Original Cast Recording to BACK TO THE FUTURE - THE MUSICAL. The award-winning musical is currently running at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End and features new music by multi-Grammy winners Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard alongside classic songs from the movie.  

BACK TO THE FUTURE The Musical’s performances at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End will extend to 3 July 2022. Tickets on sale now. The musical, which had its opening night on Monday 13 September, has had an incredible reaction from the public and been rewarded with 5 star and 4 star reviews. 

Roger Bart, who plays Doc Brown, has tested positive for Covid-19, so his understudy, Mark Oxtoby, will go on as Doc Brown for the first time tonight. The official press opening for the production has been delayed.

Michael J Fox was unable to travel to London to attend the opening night, but got to see the musical via video and shared a note with the cast.

MASTERWORKS BROADWAY has announced that in early Summer 2021, it will release the Original Cast Recording to BACK TO THE FUTURE The Musical. The musical is scheduled to open in early Summer 2021 at the Adelphi Theatre in London's West End and features new music by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard alongside classic songs from the movie.

BACK TO THE FUTURE The Musical will transfer to the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End following an out-of-town opening at Manchester Opera House in March 2020. Previews will begin on 14 May.

Tickets are now on sale for the West End transfer of Back to the Future the Musical.

The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for its 2020 season, which opens June 15 with Kander and Ebb's internationally-acclaimed Chicago. Among the talented list are a mix of Muny favorites and newcomers. In addition to casting, a comprehensive list of design teams for each production will be released later this spring. Ghostlight Records has announced that the new cast album of Cole Porter's The New Yorkers - The New York City Center Encores! 2017 Cast Recording is available on CD, digital and streaming formats today, Friday, December 6. The release is the first major cast album of the 1930 musical with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, book by Herbert Fields, and based on a story by Peter Arno and E. Ray Goetz. The 2017 production from New York City Center (Arlene Shuler, New York City Center President & CEO) Encores! was directed by John Rando, with musical direction by Encores! Music Director Rob Berman and choreography by Chris Bailey.
