BroadwayWorld has learned Tony Award®-winning actress Jessie Mueller (Waitress, Carousel) will reunite with Beautiful director Marc Bruni (Broadway Center Stage: How to Succeed...) for the Broadway Center Stage production of Meredith Willson's The Music Man at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Mueller stars as Marian Paroo opposite the previously announced Tony Award® nominee Norm Lewis (Porgy and Bess) as Harold Hill. Also joining the creative team for the Kennedy Center's latest starry concert production is choreographer Chris Bailey (Jerry Springer: The Opera, The New Yorkers at Encores!) and music director James Moore (Miss Saigon, the Kennedy Center's Follies and Ragtime).

Theatre Under the Stars' 50th anniversary season continues with DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and the 'Beast' himself, Michael Burrell, joins us to talk the all-new production, the duality of his character, and why audiences don't have to be told twice to 'Be Our Guest.'

As a fan of musical theatre, there is nothing like sitting down with a favorite cast album and being transported (possibly for the umpteenth time) to fantastic worlds, bygone eras, or dramatic locales. These musical journeys help one forget the worries of day to day life and instead spend a couple hours with a smile on the face and a song in the heart. Goodspeed Musicals' The Drowsy Chaperone is now on stage! In this hilarious valentine to show tunes and show people, a forgotten Jazz Age musical comes to life in the living room of a diehard theatre fan. As he eagerly spins his favorite cast album, a fizzy vintage show suddenly appears, exploding with song, dance and pure entertainment. Our quirky narrator fills the plot holes, with laugh-out-loud results. Packed with show-stopping numbers and larger-than-life characters, here's a Tony Award-winning spoof that will have everyone falling in love with zany musical comedy!

The New Group has just announced complete casting and the design team for Clueless, The Musical by Amy Heckerling.  This world premiere production, with choreography by Kelly Devine, directed by Kristin Hanggi, features Ephie Aardema, Lori Alan, Sara Andreas, Gilbert L. Bailey II, Dove Cameron, Will Connolly, Danielle Marie Gonzalez, Tessa Grady, Talya Groves, Chris Hoch, L'ogan J'ones, Darius Jordan Lee, Justin Mortelliti, Brett Thiele, Dave Thomas Brown and Zurin Villanueva; with Scenic Design by Beowulf Boritt; Costume Design by Amy Clark; Lighting Design by Jason Lyons; Sound Design by Gareth Owen; Projection Design by Darrel Maloney; Music Supervision, Arrangement and Orchestration by Ethan Popp and Music Direction by Matthew Smedal.  Previews begin November 20 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Tuesday, December 11.  A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through January 12 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).

Gettin' The Band Back Together cast members reunited to sing their faces off at Broadway Sessions this past Thursday night. Performers included cast members Becca Kotte, Garth Kravits, Lindsey Brett Carothers, Ian Ward, Scott Foster, Noa Solorio and Mitchell Jarvis.

The cast of GETTIN' THE BAND BACK TOGETHER have had many guests from the Broadway community throughout its run. Among those were Lori Tan Chinn, Baayork Lee, Paul Shaffer, Andre De Shields, Denise Burse, Tracie Thoms, Jose Llana, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Marsha Mason, Alex Newell, Daniel K. Isaac, the kids from SCHOOL OF ROCK, Eric William Morris and his cast members from KING KONG.

Last night, GETTIN' THE BAND BACK TOGETHER welcomed some high-profile guests, including Jose Llana, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Marsha Mason, Jaygee Macapugay, Nikka Graff Lanzarone and ONCE ON THIS ISLAND's Alex Newell.
