What happens when mayors meet? We found out over the weekend when NYC's Mayor Bill de Blasio met another mayor... well, sort of. De Blasio attended a recent performance of Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG)'s sold-out production of Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Fiorello!, which just transferred to Off-Broadway's East 13th Street Theater (136 East 13th Street, between 3rd and 4th Avenues). The Public Theater Partners with UN Women for First HeForShe Arts Week

The Public Theater announced today that it is proud to serve as the inaugural theatrical partner with HeForShe, the movement for gender equality from UN Women, in partnership with the City of New York. The first HeForShe Arts Week in support of global gender equality will run March 8-15, 2016 in New York, to coincide with International Women's Day observed globally on March 8th.

NYRP includes the beautiful New Leaf Cafe in Fort Tryon Park as part of its success, and is committed to helping restore parks and gardens devastated by Hurricane Sandy.
