Meadow Brook Theatre, Michigan's largest producing non-profit professional theatre, hosted a special ribbon cutting ceremony on October 5, 2015.

The Explorers Club, a Michigan Premiere by Legally Blonde The Musical Composer & Lyricist, Nell Benjamin, plays at Meadow Brook Theatre on the campus of Oakland University from tonight, October 7, through November 1. There will be a special Opening Night Afterglow sponsored by Lellis of Auburn Hills and Manny's Liquor on October 10 at 6:00 PM.

Professional theaters from across Michigan will share the spotlight August 19 when The 2013 Wilde Awards are presented at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts in the Detroit suburb of West Bloomfield. Presented by EncoreMichigan.com, the most comprehensive resource for news and information about the state's professional theater industry, The Wilde Awards were established by Pride Source Media Group in 2002 to honor the excellent work produced by Michigan's professional theaters.

Due to popular demand, Taproot Theatre Company has extended their hit musical Chaps! through August 18, giving people one more week to lasso their laughter and experience this mash-up of British humor and cowboy music.

Taproot Theatre continues its 36th season with the musical Chaps! Ever wonder what would happen if Monty Python met Roy Rogers? It's 1944 and America's favorite singing cowboys are saddled up to take the British airwaves by storm. There's just one problem: the crooners are no-shows. What's the BBC to do? These blokes must convince the whole of England that they're a band of guitar pickin' American singing cowboys. A JINGLE JANGLE CHRISTMAS with a book by Jahnna Beecham and Malcome Hillgartner and vocal arrangements by Malcome Hillgartner and Chip Duford. The show runs December 1-26 and tickets are on sale now.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF is proud to announce that all active military personnel are eligible to receive $10 off single tickets to Chaps! A Jingle Jangle Christmas and any remaining show in the 2010-2011 Signature Series. This discount is available to all active military, National Guard or Reservists and their spouses. Individuals must present a valid military ID to qualify. Each eligible member or spouse may purchase one ticket per performance.
